Did it take place AFTER the interview was published?
That would certainly help answer the "premeditated" response alligation.

Either put some music out or not...but stop going 'I think about touring all the time'...as for the comment regarding perry's insistance that fans get used to him being gone, Sorry. My source is protected there. Either discount its validity using your own filters or take it with whatever grain of salt you wish. Its validity is not integral to my assertions.

Actually there is proof we landed on the moon. Lunar Laser Ranging Retroreflectors. Everyone forgets about that. But carry on.

You're making an assumption.
Deb wrote:2) Few years of bullshit? Perry, himself, hasn't said a word about putting out new material so not sure where he has to back his words up or be exposed as a fraud?
strangegrey wrote:Oh gawd, listen. tell you what. You believe what you want to believe, I'll believe what i want to believe. The indirect comments that he's made on the BTM, the walk ceremony, the white sox interviews and the many press releases facilitated by Insane Asylum seem to fly right over your head, eh? I guess our reality is really a product of our own psychosis.
Deb wrote:So if you don't care if he can sing or not and it's all watery dogshit, why so much anger.....move on then.
strangegrey wrote:Listen, to quote Herb, I have zero dog in this fight. If you need to cast daily illusions about Perry making a triumphant return from the grave to help you get out of bed in the morning. I'm not going to stop you. Whatever makes it work for you. But like I said, reading it here and seeing the hypocracy regarding the charges against Herbie from someone who's got Perry as a fucking client, is too much for me to hold back the stomach juices from surging out of my throat. I'm sick of bile.

There is also proof that Perry keeps dangling the tour/new music carrot in front of everyone. It started with TBF and more recently includes comments like "I think about it every day" "I miss it dearly" "I'm practicing scales" and other vague inferences in interviews. This guy is a fucking legend. He should start acting like it. Frank is right. Release it or don't release it...tour or don't tour. But for the love of God, please quit the barf inducing proclamations by proxy through mouth pieces like Joe Benson, Steve Lukather, Team Perry and others.

Memorex wrote:And let's recall one major component of this. The man does not have a record deal (that we know of). That means the cash for demos is likely coming out of his pocket. Knowing how Steve has recorded in the past, that's no cheap effort. I have no clue one way or another if it's a factor, but how couldn't it be?
strangegrey wrote:ForeverInBlue wrote:Then without naming the person you're as bad as you claim Perry is....
Oh for fucks sake, drain the abscess...it's cutting off blood flow to your brain.
I'm *not* the former singer of Journey.
I'm *not* the one dangling tours and a return to music.
I'm *not* the one that has been a primary contributor to the ROR/TBF derailments.
Perry's statement about his fans getting used to his absence is something, as already stated, is *not* pivotal to this discussion and you are free to discredit it. But to suggest that because my comment (which as already stated, can and HAS been inferred, by others) puts me in the same boat as someone that is primarily responsible for the ROR tour getting cut short and the TBF tour NEVER getting off the ground....is proof positive that loons drink draino. You really have a warped sense of reality.
amaron wrote:Memorex wrote:Do these types of things bother you as much when other bands or singers talk like this?
Most bands and singers don't hold their fans hostage for years and years, staying involved with the music industry only enough to make money, but not enough to provide something tangible for fans who are looking forward to something, ANYTHING, new.
He may have been about the fans when they were flashing titties and ponying up hundreds of dollars for tickets, where he was THE big fish in the sea, but now it's blatantly apparent that it is all about the money and the most important thing to the Portuguese Hobbit: CONTROL.

Yeah....whatever....I'm not the one suffering from a limited oxygen supply to the brain, resulting in a massive state of altered reality.

Exactly. He had absolutely nothing to gain by showing up and surprising our small group of about a dozen fans. I'm sure one of them will find a way to spin that one though.

That 5 minute detour wasn't even his idea.

For the record, I do NOT consider you a Loon, Deb. Besides, being Canadian is far worse anyway (runs for cover!!!).![]()

1) Our lunch with Steve was before Andrew mentioned anything about interviewing HH.
2) At lunch, I had a chicken casear salad, Cyndy had thai chicken salad and Steve had a cobb salad.
3) SP is not a client of FA. We post messages from him now and then, but that's just because he is a friend and we like him.
4) His vocal performance at the Bill Graham tribute was absolutely not up to standards. He hadn't sung a note in many years but wanted to be part of that day to show his respect to Bill Graham.
Cyndy & I posted about listening to the demos because we wanted to share the info. No one is dangling anything or teasing anyone about anything. We heard some demos. They were awesome. That's it. Those who take that info and turn it into something else are misinterpreting our post.
