'After we asked him to leave it got nasty and he decided to sue us' The last I recall, as posted by JSS himself, Jeff was never asked or told to leave, or told anything by the band at all before it happened. Either I missed something, which I know is highly possible, or this is more of Neal's increasingly amusing perception of the world around him.

The sad thing here is that people will likely learn the truth regarding who shot JFK before anyone knows what *really* happened between Augeri, JSS and Journey. I truly believe there's a whole lot more to what's going on inside the band than what was stated by all parties.
The whole "JSS sued us after we told him to leave" thing, as far as my understanding of this is concerned, is a new development and it adds a new dimension to this whole thing. If there was a lawsuit involved, what were the particulars surrounding the lawsuit? Was it Journey refusing to pay JSS for what he contractually earned as a replacement singer? (this wouldn't surprise me in the slightest) or was it Journey, as Neal states, coming to the conclusion that there was a personality issue at bay and changing their mind?
If it's the former, it casts a shadow on Journey...if it's the latter, it shifts the shadow a significantly good bit in the other direction (because JSS himself has stated that he himself would have been perfectly fine with their decission to move on without him if Journey were honest with him about it, so why say something publically yet act differently, legally).
I tell ya this...at this stage, I'm far more confused than anything else....and I suspect most fans would/should feel equally confused. I do believe that Journey could have and should have handled Augeri and JSS far better than they did. I also believe that Augeri was shanghai'ed by certain people. There's no question his voice was fucked up at the time of tapegate. But for Neal to continue to claim ignorance to this and to say that Augeri was the *only* person responsible for tapegate is shameful as well, as it's quite well known that Neal knew about the lipping before it started happening (and was a responsible party in it's execution).
But this latest interview adds in alot of doubt and questioning of what really happened with JSS. The only thing anyone can state for sure, is that there was a serious falling out between JSS and Journey that is more significant than what any of them has stated. That's all we can say, surmise and theorize....
...and anyone claiming to know more, who isn't either a memober of Journey's mgmt or JSS, is lying to either create bullshit or give people the impression they're one of these silly 'I'm in the know' (but really dont know shit) fans (and there's way too many of those here).
