I believe (i may be wrong) that Talisman's 7 record had already been declared as their swansong upon release, and JSS wanted to just take 'em through one last farewell tour. Talisman was already over, BUT, JSS had to postpone the farewell tour due to his Journey involvement.
Correct me if I'm wrong, peoples.
although the band members had discussed the 7 CD to possibly be the final release, this was never announced officially until late 2006 when Andrew's interview with Jeff and Journey was published. So when Jeff got the call from Journey July 2006, he knew Talisman was at it's end . A year later I posted my thoughts on Talisman and if Jeff made the right decision to give up on Talisman. 3 days later Jeff was booted and backstabbed officially.ProgRocker53 wrote:SusieP...

How else could you deal with somebody that constantly talks shit to the press about the first thing that crosses his mind and doesn't care how anything he says comes across? He does more damage to Journey's image every time he opens his mouth.
Think about this.....Neal portrayed every singer Journey hires as the greatest, then there is some problem and they are fired and trashed by him. Same story with EVERY single singer, even going back to Fleishman.

So maybe it's time WE all learned a lesson.
Don't take any notice of anything he says!

He doesn't have to deny it anymore. He just blames the entire thing on Augeri and the rest of them take no responsibility at all. I think Neal's the one with the yeast infection.![]()
As far as Soto....he saved their asses when things got close to imploding. If Friga didn't like him, he wasn't going to say anything while they still needed him, so they could use him and just ditch him later. Tapegate was being discussed on a radio station by two different radio personalities (AM & PM) here. News was starting to travel and they had to do something fast. Enter Soto.
If there is a gag order, Soto should be sending Neal's latest interview to his attorney. Nobody deserves to be gagged and paying for a big mouth more than Neal. He throws shit at every singer they've ever had. I guess it makes him think he's cool, but it just makes him look like a major tool. (hmmm...maybe Soto can put that to music)

They know what to play to make money. Think Wal-Mart and concert promoter are gonna pay for the new stuff with a whole new sound? Think again.
