I agree with everything you said except the "We are a secular nation" part.

You are right, I guess that's my own interpretation of how we have evolved as a state. Thomas Jefferson would have viewed it a such, but his peers were more in line with one nation under God.

Says who?
Jefferson - who followed his own cut 'n' paste bowlderized version of the bible while fucking his slaves, or Franklin, who also had a penchant for stinky french whores?
The Founders were far from men of the cloth.

So what. Not my problem.

Says who? ...Says every version of American History I've ever studied. Why do you think this country was founded? So we could burn down a bowl and hump trees? Pfa... no, because those pompous-ass dudes were tired of the King taxing the horsepiss out of them (Church of England majorly included there) and decided to... *da-dum* declare independence. Individual funbags aside, that is what we were founded on, and if you think the integrity of the men who laid out this nation negates what they laid down in their ideals, then. ...Canada's a short drive north. :P

My guess is that, though Indiana is currently gray, it will probably go red. Palin was a popular choice here and it looks like incumbent Republican governor Mitch Daniels is probably going to get re-elected, which will bolster the conservative vote.

I don't care what religion a president is. I'm agnostic, and I'm an adult. If anyone wishes to judge me - well fuck YOU. I'm a rather moral person, and not one iota - religious. A Common myth is that morality is based on religion - in a word....BULLSHIT.

Like I said in another thread....I used to be an altarboy. Made my communion, confirmed....etc. When I got to college, I was exposed to other aspects of life. And I made a conscious choice to not believe.

I couldn't care less what a person believes....I don't judge. But if some motherfucker is going to judge me, there will be a bru-haha, believe you me.....

I know Dave is very religious....and that's ok....I respect him....that little fact will not stop me from being his friend.

But......liking this album.....may.

Well, all I can say is good thing you're not running for president. If Obama actually came out and said "on second thought, guys...I'm really just a muslim, I've been doing this Malcolm-X Christian thing just to get my name on the ticket" his numbers would actually go into the negative. They wouldn't be much better if he said he was muslim from the onset.

The fact is, people do care what religion the president is. That's supportable by this country's entire voting history. You might not, and your vote counts as much as mine. However, you should know that the majority of people in this country do care.

I think her answer to that question was pretty good. I'm not worried about her at all. People love to assume she is just some dumb-dumb. Go ahead and misunderestmate her. That never works out well for the other side. ;)

I just learned that lesson when it came to the word irregardless. NOT a word. Regardless is fine by itself, but adding the ir makes it a double negative in effect canceling itself out.

You're all right. Palin is the voice of reason...of an insane asylum, that is. This should disqualify her from consideration on its own merit...if Obama were to have said this, you'd all be crucifying him.

McCain has defended her qualifications, citing her command of the Alaska National Guard and Alaska's proximity to Russia.

Gov. Sarah Palin: U.S. soldiers are in Iraq on a "task that is from God."

Wow. She REALLY sounds like W here. She is VERY SCARY.

Finally, a ticket I would truly support comes along:

...but no, seriously... Sarah Palin scares me. I was thinking of voting McCain initially but she's too much of a dangerous woman for me to consider that anymore... Obama all the way!!!
