I don't speak Spanish but I've heard about twice now today. Apparently, on Rush Limbaugh's show, he did a comedy bit about Mexico's inherently racist immigration laws and made it sound as if those law were in force here. The point was to make it sound like the laws really are, which is racist. Obama has now taken this comedy bit and done an ad about it that makes Limbaugh out to be racist for this and then somewhow ties these views to McCain. It's an outright lie.

This is about as dirty as it gets, purposely taking something like this and lying about it and, not only that, but applying it to McCain, who had nothing at all to do with it. It wouldn't surprise me if Media Matters jumps on this story and tries to make it look like Limbaugh really believes that should be the law here.

Didn’t ignore it, just find your selective outrage hard to take seriously when Bush fired General after General - effectively extending troop deployment, in addition to coming out against the troop leave extension bill advocated by Jim Webb.
Most damning yet, according to Woodward’s new book, when the war was all but lost by even the most objective standard, Bush was still claiming we held the upper hand and simply had to stay.
Obama may be speaking out of turn, but he isn’t dictating policy on the backs of the country’s servicemen.

I read though the emails… ALL OF THEM… before I posted, and what I concluded was anticlimactic, there was nothing there, nothing incriminating, nothing that would derail her campaign as I had hoped, all I saw was personal stuff, some clerical stuff from when she was governor…. I cannot believe how many people won't vote for Obama just because he is black. I was talking to an old schoolmate at a hardware store yesterday, and he straight up told me "I would never vote for a n***** for as long as live." I just looked at him and shook my head. I am sure that at least 20% of the population feel the same way. Let's face it... it wasn't too long ago that blacks couldn't even sit in the front of the bus. I guess it takes a long time to change cultural bigotry. Just look at the way women are still treated as possessions in the Middle East and Africa.

I'd dare to guess that if Obama wasn't an African American, he would easily be beating McCain by a full 10 points. Hopefully people are sick enough of what the Bush/McCain camp has done to the economy that they overlook the bigotry get those bums out of power.

I'd want to slug that moron in the face. However, there's probably just as high a percentage of blacks who are voting for Obama BECAUSE he is black and against McCain BECAUSE he is white. In my opinion, it's probably a wash between those two groups. So there you go.

i think the conflict in afghanistan would have been resolved by now had bush not stretched our military so thin. our invasion of iraq has caused more problems than it has solved. i know saddam was a horrible man and i'm glad he is no longer able to inflict his wrath, however; he was not an imminent threat to the U.S. by any means. this whole war on terror that bush started should have stayed focused on catching bin laden. there will be no victory in iraq, the damage is done.

i think afghanistan wouldnt have happen if we didnt stop supporting afghanistan after they won the conflict against Russia. as far as Iraq, we should have finish the job the first time and i hope history will prove you wrong on "there will be no victory in iraq"

However, if you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and then left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a true Christian.


If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

Its aftermath and the exact role of the Surge is proving no exception.

What of Moqtada al-Sadr's ceasefire?
What of ethnic cleansing?
As Bob Woodward recently noted, what of the new top secret targeting technology that is being compared to the invention of the tank?

All this has done little to deter the Right from claiming the Surge as some sort of Republican-owned brainchild, when in truth, it was a hail mary pass greeted with little fanfare outside the Oval Office.
