It was nice to see Joe get a little choked up about his kids. Nothing wrong with a guy getting emotional like that.

Like McCain v. Obama the other night, I give Joe points for solidarity and elder status.
Might give him a slight edge, not sure.

I feel ya.

Quit giving sympathy points to the elderly!! Biden looked constipated. After 8 years of staring at Cheney and 8 years before that of staring at Gore, I'm tired of VPs who look so damn miserable!

Being totally serious here, has Biden had some Schon work on his face? Something looked so off about his one eye.

I like Palin and it bugs me. I also cringed when she said nook-yoo-ler like Bush. Ugh! Other than that, she did a great job.

yeah, work on pronunciation. she did a fine job. joe was wise to not take her bait as she challenged him. he was quite composed

He has a permanent "stink eye". Better equipped to give Palin dirties when she's talking about mavericks for the 7,283rd time.

I thought Joe looked happy. He is not a Dick Cheney that's for sure... Joe has a great sense of humor, and is usually very cordial. Now I will agree about Cheney... looking at him is like look at death warmed over.

No, I think Palin really didn't show nerves and handled herself well. I still don't think she should be a heartbeat away from the presidency. He should have picked Romney. But Biden, I came away very impressed. To me, and this is just my opinion, he directly answered every question and didn't skirt around them, which she did at times.

Wrong. Biden, if anything, knows TOO much and talks TOO much about it. She doesn't know shit outside of what she's been force-fed by the Rovites. Biden clearly won, but because the expectations were so low, I think her performance helped the McCain ticket.

She gave NO specifics about ANYTHING, and NEVER factually refuted the (false) notion that McCain's policies differ from those of W.

Not as terrifying as Cheney, Wolfowitz, Ashcroft, Rove, and Bush all in the same room at the same time...except that happened on dozens of occasions.

I appreciated that Biden didn't condescend as an older person or as a man, he did well.
Sarah looked beautiful, is much better to look at and listen to than Joe and she gets my vote
for tonight! She's a bright woman and she can do the job, no problem.

Right. "Nitpicking."

It's called facts. There are SO MANY that factor against McCain/Palin and Bush that you have to start SOMEWHERE.

Ehwmatt, you don't have to like Biden or his views, but not to think he's knowledgeable on foreign affairs from that debate, I just don't get. He was very impressive on foreign policy.

Weren't you just complaining about Obama's manner of speach being too boring?
Are you aware of your own hypocrisy, do you simply not care, which is it?
