I've never said that I haven't been over the top. I apologize for it. He makes excuses and obfuscates.

Why am I so offended? I am the father of a special needs child. Her good-for-nothing birthmother damaged her brain by boozing it up before giving birth and then abandoned her in a hospital...That's why. I love my daughter to death and if ANYONE ever used her situation in the callous way that TNC used Palin's Downs Syndrome baby, you'd be hard-pressed to keep me from beating the living shit out of that person.

He who is never offended probably cares little about anything.

Well, you better get used to that because when she goes to school she and YOU are going to have learn to deal with that kind of thing without threatening to beat somebody up or whatever nonsense you said.

It's seriously unbelievable that you are attacking me for this when you should be calling TNC out for his comment. You are idealogically blinded.

For the record, I show a ton of restraint in my behavior and have NEVER been in a major fist fight in my entire life. Never. Working with children and special needs children in particular is my passion. I care deeply about it and I care deeply when people are so careless and callous about them. TNC has the right to say it but having the right to say it is one thing. Having the self-restraint to not say it is another.

Look, I don't like what he said either. He has tried to explain it. He is a good, fun and longtime poster. You keep bringing that same quote up constantly; everybody has seen it. Why can't you just let it go?

I said if you believe X, than yes, you are dumber than a retard.
Given the nature of this thread I designated the retard Palin's kid.

Despite you’re holier than thou routine, calling someone a retard is accepted vernacular and is really no more coarse than the homophobic missives launched at Bobby throughout this thread – which, at least according to your emoticon use, you found uproarious.

This is the same reason McCain is all but dead in the polls - mock outrage.
Nobody buys it, dude.

What a self-righteous cock.
The comment wasn't even about special needs children, it was about Watergate and the advent of reich wing radio.

I am not going to call out TNC and I'm not idealogically blinded. Of course you care deeply about special needs kids if your child is brain damaged; but I really think you're repeating TNC's comment over and over again in order to smear him really.

Don't concern yourself with this.
It's a non-issue.

The line between good taste and bad taste on MR must've been drawn while I was browsing one of the "beer and porn" threads.

Another career Republican blowhard dares put country first, and votes Democrat for the first time in 30 years (tho to be fair, he's been tilting left for awhile).

Even McCain knows that, at this point. Fuck, all the guy has done since the last debate is stand up in front of every crowd and say "I'm not George Bush, and I told Senator Obama if he wanted to run against Bush that he should have done that 4 years ago". This guy is a broken record! Every day he's in a new city, and using the same stupid line, because some jackass advisor told him that it was the best line of his last debate. This guy needs to be put out to pasture!

Your constant deflections to my mudslinging are even more telling still.
For a self-styled former Democrat, you have all the pedigree of a born and bred Limbaugh cocksucker.
I choose to use your posts as a soundboard for juvenile potshots because that is all they are good for.

you just can't do it can you? debate without the insults.

it's unbecoming of a man to end every comment with an insult. shows your true lack of knowledge of what you're arguing about.
your arguments are not good enough, you have to add insults to make it seem like your points are more stinging than they are.

To hell with me, you are consistently outclassed by everyone in this thread.
Put forward an argument worth debating and maybe I will muster enough of a shit to pay you an actual response.

I'm not going to argue someone trotting out the apocryphal boogeyman of the "lib/dem media" and who actually believes McCain suspended his campaign for the good of the country.

It speaks to how much of an idiot he is. He had that one marginal zinger of a statement in that debate....and like a 3 year old that gets repeatedly entertained from the same stupid line over and over again, he's drumming it into the ground. So much so, that the statement itself has become a cliche....

To drum the same line into oblivion like that, two things are happening. He's either got the mind of a 3 year old in that he finds the same, not-very funny joke...funny, even after the 90th time he's said it. Or he assumes that his audiences are too stupid to see through the fact that he's delivered the same not-very funny joke for the 91st time. Either way, it speaks volumes as to what kind of failed president he may be.

The problem with that stupid phrase is that Obama had a very clear and concise retort at the very moment it was delivered. In all of the matters that matter to the people in this election (economy and the war), McCain is no different in policy than Bush. I'll submit that there are other ways that McCain is NO different than Bush. McCain will bend over to the whim of Congress just as much as Bush has.

He may not be Bush, but he'll execute the office of POTUS either no differently or in fact, worse than the current Hayseed idiot residing in the white house.

SHOCKING NEWS!!!

Postby conversationpc » Tue Oct 21, 2008 1:24 am

You know, I'm beginning to think that an Obama Presidency will not be much, if any, worse than the Bush Presidency has been. With each successive month recently, I've grown just as fed up with the Bush Administration as most of you other folks have been. This isn't to say that I am hoping Obama will win, because I don't, but I don't think it can get much worse, fiscally at least. I think at this point the economy is doomed to do poorly for awhile regardless of who is President and whoever the President is at the time, will rightfully deserve some of the blame.

 When I told my wife I wasn't voting for McCain, she walked over to the kitchen counter to drop a pencil and check if gravity still worked....While I realize you're not going to vote for Obama, I find it interesting that you've developed frustration with Bush...I may be wrong, but I always thought you were one of his biggest supporters here.

Yes, you're definitely wrong on that. About the only thing I give him credit for anymore are the tax cuts. I've criticized him on a number of issues here, including spending, border security, increase in the size of government, leadership in the war on terror, leadership by using the veto pen, etc., etc. I thought he did okay in his first term but from there on out, it's been disaster after disaster.

I do think he deserves some credit for the fact that we haven't been attacked on our soil again but, other than that, his 2nd term has been a major disaster.

In that regard, I'm not even so sure he deserves credit...despite the fact that staving off another attack has been claimed by him and Cheney at times. It took terrorists approximately 8 years to plan and devise a sequel to the '93 WTC bombing....all during the porported recklessly unviligent Clinton administration... Seriously, me thinks these sorta things take some time to plan.

Everytime I fly, I am reminded of what a farce Bush's "we've prevented more attacks" claim is. The TSA is such a farce of an agency. 90% of the TSA agents I come across, I wouldn't hire to protect my neighbor's lawn troll. In each of the several plane trips I've taken over the past 2 years, I've been able to get so-called "restricted" items into the plane via my person or the carry on. Now, let me preface...I wasn't actively trying to do this. But things like sissors, bottles of water, etc...were never removed, checked or questioned...Yet my fucking wife went through the whole strip search process during one flight out of Myrtle Beach....and they made me nearly take apart the dvd player for my kids.

The TSA is a farce...in every sense of the word...and if this is one of the agencies that's being an effective block against further terrorism, I'm sorry....the terrorists aren't trying too hard!

Truly shocking! It's a good thing we have Democrats because you'll never find any haters on the left. Never mind the fact the KKK was composed primarly of Democrats though the early part of the 20th century but hey, we all know you lefties shed that coat a long long time ago. Lord knows (Oops, did I say that?)

--

I have to pause for a moment and apologize to all the non-believers for the potentially offensive remark of mentioning the name of he who shall not be named. Even though I am not a believer myself, I simply uttered the phrase without thinking (Hey, at least I'm learning something from the left!)

Resuming..
--

Democrats *LOVE* { BIG SMILE, BIG BIG SMILE! } everybody equally regardless of race, color or religion.

Hell, that's why so many Liberals are voting for Obama, just because he's black!

Nope, no racism there brother. It's all about love!
