Even McCain knows that, at this point. Fuck, all the guy has done since the last debate is stand up in front of every crowd and say "I'm not George Bush, and I told Senator Obama if he wanted to run against Bush that he should have done that 4 years ago". This guy is a broken record! Every day he's in a new city, and using the same stupid line, because some jackass advisor told him that it was the best line of his last debate. This guy needs to be put out to pasture!
John from Boston
It speaks to how much of an idiot he is. He had that one marginal zinger of a statement in that debate....and like a 3 year old that gets repeatedly entertained from the same stupid line over and over again, he's drumming it into the ground. So much so, that the statement itself has become a cliche....
To drum the same line into oblivion like that, two things are happening. He's either got the mind of a 3 year old in that he finds the same, not-very funny joke...funny, even after the 90th time he's said it. Or he assumes that his audiences are too stupid to see through the fact that he's delivered the same not-very funny joke for the 91st time. Either way, it speaks volumes as to what kind of failed president he may be.
The problem with that stupid phrase is that Obama had a very clear and concise retort at the very moment it was delivered. In all of the matters that matter to the people in this election (economy and the war), McCain is no different in policy than Bush. I'll submit that there are other ways that McCain is NO different than Bush. McCain will bend over to the whim of Congress just as much as Bush has.
He may not be Bush, but he'll execute the office of POTUS either no differently or in fact, worse than the current Hayseed idiot residing in the white house.
