I don't know but I don't care. Just get the guy out on the road so I can see him already.
Make it the Perry/Manilow tour for all I care!! (nice ring to it, eh?)

Hit high notes that only the dogs can hear? Probably not. Sing and sound fabulous at 60? Hell yeah.

Steve - knock it off. Consider this a warning. There is absolutely no need to reference another board member in this fashion.

Bohemian Rhapsody is up there with Stairway To Heaven, Satisfaction and All Along The Watchtower in my books. Any of those should be untouchable.

Honestly, Manilow is perfect for this kind of song. This is the song that put Journey over the top, and part of the reason was because it had appeal to people who might not normally listen to a rock record. I've got a feeling there's a lot of Manilow fans with Escape in their collection.
Really i didnt think it was bad for him at 62 . You cant compare it to Perry at 30 something.Perry would butcher that song right now, unless he did it an octave lower, and it would sound like Madge from All in the familylivin2do wrote:God I hate to say this, but... Barry has had three number one singles and been selling out his shows for 3 years straight in Vegas. Dude is 65 and still out there performing (unlike a certain person to remain nameless). I give the guy major props for not abandoning his fans and still putting a product out there for his loons to enjoy. It beats playing the same 10 records over and over again.

I'm actually thinking about going to Vegas for the de la Hoya/Pacquiao fight and seeing a Manilow show. I'm still pissed that I missed Calzaghe/Jones, Jr.stevew2 wrote:Alright Dan, call Tito, fuel up the shitty Malibu, restock the Snickers, get some booze, some cigs, and lets head to the next Barry Manilow concert.Get all fucked up, and go to Branson or las vegas or where all the washed up performers go{Journey}I bet Tito would give his left nut to have Barrysign frigas windy City CDSaint John wrote:Great post.livin2do wrote:God I hate to say this, but...
