lol, every suicide is the result of clinical depression? What about Japanese samurai suicide? Were they clinically depressed? Hell, modern day Asian cultures embrace "honor suicide" as well... are all of those guys clinically depressed or a PRODUCT OF CULTURE?
Completely different angle and not relevant to the argment in question here. Fuck me.
Oh, really? This is what he was responding to.

Thanks I didn't feel like digging through a cpl pages to find that
Um.... don’t try & throw me under the bus b/c you guys dug yourselves a ditch you can’t get out of. First, that comment Saint John just quoted was not made by me until page 8 of this thread, & that was well after you both had already dug yourself a ditch. Second, I clarified myself
immediately in my very next post stating that I was not referring to other cultures of which I admitted I have no knowledge of. I didn’t think I had to clarify that from the get-go b/c I didn’t think the two of you were going to consider every living, breathing entity on the entire planet when discussing the “ins” & “outs” of suicide & all of the variables it entails. That was my mistake for not assuming the entire world was your playground.
Now, as for your recent comment to Andrew, Matt, where you just wrote,
“Don't blame me, I didn't make the claim in the first place. I was just taking them as they came at me.” That again is a weak attempt at saving face b/c you dug yourself a ditch you can’t get out of. Why do I say that, you ask? Because YOURS was the very second post on page one of this very topic &, yes, you had your hand on your holster & you were ready to put this topic under attack b/c it's a hot potato topic that you knew you could have a lot of "fun" with.
Fact Finder posted the initial statement regarding Marie Osmond’s son & he posted that message in a neutral manner without us, the reader, knowing one way or the other which side of the issue he personally aligned himself with. He wasn’t saying, “Poor Marie,” nor was he saying “What an idiot son she had.” Yet, exactly 2 minutes after Fact Finder made that initial post stating that Ms. Osmond's son had killed himself due to depression, you lashed back with,
“Because it's the cool thing to do. Until we stop feeling sorry for every dickwad who wants to kill himself, this problem will just get more widespread. We sanction this cop-out bullshit as a society.” I hardly think Fact Finder’s original post was meant to “come at you,” as you had just stated above.
