Dopey comment, kid. The Patriots defense has been tested throughout the season. Now, you can certainly argue that they haven't passed many of those tests, and I won't disagree with you. I'm not sold on the New England defense, AT ALL, and if they lose in the playoffs, it will be on the defensive side of the ball. I'm reasonably certain that New England has one of the toughest strengths of schedule in the league this season, so they're continuously being tested. Last I checked, they have beat San Diego, Indianapolis, Baltimore (no offense, obviously), Jets, and Pittsburgh. Those are some very key wins.
Only one probl;em here.
New England came into last night's game ranked dead last. (I know numbers can be misleading- San Diego is number 1 in defense and number 2 in offense, go figure?). This points to one conclusion, or perhaps, two. 1- The Jets are not nearly as good as their 9-3 record suggests. They have squeaked by for weeks now, and really haven't played well for 6,7 weeks. 2- Mark Sanchez was God awful last night. That game could have been a whole lot different had he made better decisions. he looked like the game was too fast for him last night, and this by the NFL's worst defensive team.
Lest I remind you Chowds of one thing, particularly you, S2M. You say the pats are the class of the NFL... Um, no, sorry, they aren't. maybe the best run franchise, yes, but not the best team on the field. I would have to say this year, the NFC is a much better conference. Atlanta, New Orleans, Green Bay, Chicago, Philadelphia, and maybe the G mean are all solid clubs. I believe Atlanta and Philadelphia to be the best clubs in football right now. Those two teams, along with the Saints can blow holes through that Pats defense. We'll see come February.
By the way, let's each wager 5 bucks as to who will be the Super Bowl Halftime show.
I say, since it's Dallas, it will be either Keith Urban, or ZZ Top. Anyone else? 2 picks per customer. Be right back, headed down to Taco Bell to get a number 8 value meal.
