The Pats have never matched up well with those Baltimore thugs and murderers. Get past that game, and it's the Colts or the Steelers, either of which could EASILY defeat the Pats, even on the road.

Can't agree with this. The Raiders D-line looked like they were on a jailbreak on almost every snap. KC's O-line was the most pathetic thing I've seen in awhile.
Probably since watching the Lions offensive line a few years ago try to block a 3 man rush... the 2 outside rushers both got their hands on the QB and the 3rd guy knocked the ball down!!!!![]()
There is no reason to fear the Chiefs!!! Don't believe me? Tune into the Raiders/Chiefs shortcut on DirecTv if you have the opportunity.

I didn't "forget" the Bears at all. Cutler sucks and no team with him leading them is winning anything.

Though I am inclined to agree with you more or less...I don't think ANY team is unbeatable...anything and EVERYTHING can and usually does happen during the playoffs.
Don't write off anyone in the AFC...and don't write off anyone in the NFC other than the NFC West winner.

History is being made, because for once in my life, I couldn't agree with you more. Spot on with this post and the NFC West "winner" should be fucking embarrassed to be making the playoffs and actually hosting a game!

I just laughed out loud at your Lion smack, but I wouldn't be surprised if they get to 9-7 next year, especially with OG gone.

Dude, it was hilarious. I can't remember who they were playing, but the Lions were getting blown out in the 4th quarter. So of course the defense dropped 8 and rushed 3.
The Lions had 5 offensive lineman and a TE to pass protect. The pocket still collapsed. It was great!!!

I don't know, but HOW IN THE HELL CAN A TEAM WITH A LOSING RECORD GO TO THE PLAYOFFS, LET ALONE HOST A GAME?

S2M wrote:The playoff system is garbage. I like the NBA/NHL way of seeding playoff teams, although I do not like the fact that divisional winners automatically get in, PLUS get to host a playoff game possibly against a wildcard team with a better record. In the case of the NFC West - probably a team with a better record by 3 games!
If I had my way - best 6 teams in each conference make playoffs....and if that means a division is left out - great. Learn how to play fucking football.

Why do you think there are divisions in football? Why have divisions if your not going to obey by the philosophy? NFL is set up to where you play 2 games within your 4 team division. Win your division, and you're in, it's a simple formula that works and there's no better way to do it. All the NFL has to do is change the W-L record with teams that are allowed to host a home playoff game, plain and simple.

So you think Seattle deserves to be in over the Giants, or Tampa Bay, who are both 10-6?

Absolutely they do. They won their division. And had the Giants simply punted a ball out of bounds two weeks ago, they WOULD be in the playoffs.
Rules are rules. Very simple.

You're a huge hockey fan. Do you not like the way the NHL seeds playoff teams? Top 8 teams in each conference are ranked in order of total points - regardless of which division.

The NFL is still far and away the best pro sports league. But, something does have to be done about .500 teams having home field advantage or worse yet, losing record teams going to the playoffs (and even hosting games).

No they aren't. The top three seeded teams in each conference are the division leaders. Go look over at NHL.com. Vancouver is the number 1 team in the NHL right now incidentally. Teams 4-8 are seeded on points however.

Well, my main point is that in hockey you RARELY ever get the clusterfuck that is the NFL playoff system....
