It amazes me how many "poor" people on Medicaid I see at work who can sure as hell afford an iphone! Sorry but if *I* were that poor that I needed to, as you say, choose between eating and medicine, I sure as hell wouldn't have a freaking iphone. I know there are people who TRULY can not afford to pay for healthcare and so of course a program like Medicaid is needed for them, and of course I fully support that for people who TRULY NEED it. But I'm sorry, it's the ones who ABUSE it that I am fed up with. Entitlement mentality in this country is at the worst I've ever seen it, and it's driving this country into the ground.

My biggest pet peeve is those people that drink and smoke and can't "afford" insurance. But you can "afford" cigarettes and beer. But you can't "afford" the insurance that will pay your COPD, lung cancer, cirrhosis of the liver, bill.

And then there are people like me who DO Drink and Smoke, are self-employed, and have my own HSA Account, Life Insurance, and savings for a rainy day, and all I get is people wanting to take more of it from me. Damned near every time I turn around. And I ain't rich, not by any means, It could all crumble down tomorrow,..... that's what I'm saving for.

How about LTC. Something I've had since way before the Obama years. Obviously I don't want to end up spending everything I have and then end in some nursing home paid for by SS. Obama was pushing this awhile ago. Is it worth it??

What makes me mad is trash, littering, and the overall lack of respect for this country - as far as garbage on the streets, sidewalks...etc. Illegals want to come to this country and leech off the system, yet don't mind living in virtual squalor. Dean, I gotta ask you a question, a serious, sincere question. You have talked a few times here about the moral and ethical obligation of our society to take care of those who can't take care of themselves. Do you believe partial-birth abortion is ok? It is a yes or no questioin - there is no "if the mother's life is at risk" answer, because that argument is not factually sound (in other words, there are no documented cases where this procedure performed on the baby in and of itself is required to prevent the mother from dying). Not asking about first trimester abortions, that's a totally different animal.

I hate abortion, let's get that straight right now. I also think it should be a very personal decision and not a political one. It is a very private matter. Having said that, and this hurts me to say, is I have to go with the woman's choice here. I personally hate it mind you...but her body comes first. That's just the evil unfortunate truth. Now I feel sick.

I see abortion as being on par with a parent molesting their child. You've both coldly and callously betrayed the life of someone innocent, with no voice or ability to fend off your attack. Hell, even a father that creeps into his daughter's bedroom at night and molests her is affording her some sort of life. How is a woman that snuffs out the life of her child because she couldn't keep her legs closed any worse than the father in the aforementioned example? Give the child up for adoption, you selfish cuntrag. Regardless, aborters and molesters should share bunk beds in hell. But I really don't have much of an opinion on the topic.

Oh, please, that is so not true.

Most Americans wanted a war in Iraq and Afghanistan for 'free'. In fact, most people thought we would get something out if it...like better security, cheaper oil, a shiny example of 'democracy' in the middle-east. That is what we expected, but not what happened at all.

In fact, Rick, I remember YOU posting to the Water Cooler and making fun of Madonna for recording a song or video against the war in Iraq, saying something like, "How embarrassing it will be if the war is over before this is even released!" Guess you are just not a 'true' American. How embarrassing for you.

America did not want to face the sacrifices...we were shielded from the body bags or any real consequences of this war. America went about their lives and were told to wrap their house in shrink-wrap if there was another terror attack...so support the war. It was not until it start dragging on and on and had no end in sight....and the skeptics, like me, were proved right, that people started asking the right questions.

Yeah...the electorate that now has (according to polls anyway) George W. Bush on equal footing popularity-wise with President Obama, and who delivered the {resident a stinging rebuke in regards to his policies in the last election, isn't going to like Issa making sure everything is on the up and up...yeah ok.

Amtrak is first up on Issa's radar. I have tons of friends who still work there and are looking at this with great interest. They (wrongfully), fired their Inspector General, and as you all know, GOP hates rail(a threat to air, roadways(oil consumption) and political dollars). It's all political. The GOP is going to propose, stupidly I might add, elimination of so many good, viable programs, that they will indeed reach too far and they will face the backlash in 2 years. Rest easy 7 Wishes.
