Nice twisting of your words to make it sound like you are legit. You are simply a fraud and turn and twist words, EVERY TIME to support your incoherent arguments and baffling way of words. You may make fun of me being a comic book fan. Great, grand, whatever makes your ego sleep at night. S2M at his BEST. The main jist of the conversation was you, as always, starting shit. People then proceeded to rebuttal your weak claims and soon it found yourself defending yourself to twist things into your favor of the "argument." Point is, is that you're a rat when it comes to to calling your own bluff, especially when people call you out on your own statements. Doesn't change the fact that your huge into your own style of homer-ism, which is actually worse than any biased that's ever been seen on this board or anything other. I am now, done with you.

OK, and I'm calling it right now. NE goes undefeated next year. How's that for 'homerism'?

If there is a season next year that is....and the Sox win the WS, and Celtics will win the Finals(barring injury)...I'll call all 3 right now. Hold me to it.

I know you will....

Hey Sean, as ridiculous as your predictions sound, there is a very coceivable possibilty that all, I repeat ALL 4 Boston teams could be champions.

The Celtics are the best team in thre NBA.
The Pats are self explanatory however, their window is closing IMO.
The Sox are the best team on paper....
The B's are that good and could easily win the east

I would kill to live in Boston and have those four teams to follow.

That's where you're wrong bro. I love this place, great entertainment and allows for deep, good 'ol fun back and forth nice rubbings from one another. I'm passionate about football, always have been and love debating than anything because quite frankly, this place is full of great sports wisdom. I don't take it serious whatsoever. It's a fucking message board, haha.

The Pats have the second-youngest team in the NFL, 6 of the first 90 draft choices, a still-young Brady coming off his best season ever, and the best coach in the business.

They're going to be dominant for another 7-8 years - and that's assuming they're unable to eventually draft a replacement for Brady when he nears the end. Winning runs from the top of this organization all the way down. The Pats are here to stay as long as BB is the coach - and beyond that, too.

The Pats are fine and I said the same thing. Give them a couple years, they have a very young team (which will bode VERY well for their future) and they should gel well in the up-coming years. Hell, as young as they were this year, they seemed to have it glued together and go on 14 wins when they weren't exactly the best team or most talented unit in football when playing together, they still looked dominant and seemed to 'get it.' That either means two things: They over-achieved OR they are going to remain one helluva force as the years move on to where they have playing time and experience playing together. Like you said, Bellichick and Brady are the forces that will keep N.E in the championship hunt & having a young team to groom is something that failing NFL franchises either don't have, or have the patience for.

It actually means both. They absolutely over-achieved, which is why Bill Belichick won the Coach of the Year award. I can't think of a single Patriots fan (outside of maybe S2M) who thought this Patriots team would get anywhere near 14 wins. I said it throughout the season on this board that I had no idea how this team just kept winning. It really starts at the top. As long as the Patriots have great ownership (and they do), they'll be successful. Pittsburgh keeps winning for a reason...the Rooney family. You can change the coach. You can change the players. You simply can't change your philosophy and your way of doing business. That's when the shit hits the fan.

The Patriots are indeed the youngest team in the NFL, so I think they'll be fine. Tom Brady certainly isn't 27 any longer, but he'll still be a viable NFL QB for at least another 3 seasons. Say what you want about Brady getting older, but I'm fairly certain that in spite of his old age, he'll be picking up another MVP trophy on Sunday.

Question.....is Devin McCourty getting ROY?

As far as I remember 4 rookies made the Pro-Bowl:

Pouncey - Center
McCourty - Corner back
Suh - DT
Mariani - Kick Returner

So who wins Offensive ROY, and Defensive ROY? I'm gonna say Pouncey for Offense, and McCourty for Defense. However, Suh could win based on all the pre-season hype surrounding his draft status....

I suspect that Bradford wins the Offensive Rookie of the Year. I can't see that award going to a Center.

I think Suh wins it and should win it. McCourty finishes second. Hype or not, you still have to play and produce and Suh did. He led NFL rookies in tackles and also had 10 sacks. I see no way the guy doesn't bring home the hardware.

I'd like to propose a rule change for next year....until the ball leaves the QB's hand it is still capable of being a fumble. Even if the hand is going forward. IMHO, it isn't a pass until it leaves the hand. Just saying....

Yeah, but it's measured as rookies and what kind of an impact they've had on their respective teams. Bradford was one game away from entering the post-season and had a pretty damn GOOD year and progress as a rookie. I can see it going to Bradford or Pouncey but usually a Quarterback from a rebuilding team gets the nod.

Well if that's the case then by your definiton Devin should get it. 7 INTs as a rookie - with only 17 passes defended. That's an interception 41% of the time., and NE was 14-2.....Detroit 6-10. And sorry John, McCourty had not only more total tackles 82 to Suh's 66, but more solo tackles 69 to 49...and it is tougher to tackle in the open field than it is amoungst 16 other fat fucks.....lol

Of course he didn't make the Pro Bowl. He plays QB. Rookie QB's never make the Pro Bowl. You do realize that Pro Bowls are meaningless, right? Hell, Brandon Merriweather made the Pro Bowl and the guy couldn't cover me!

Yeah, but McCourty was on the more polished team than Suh and Suh is ALREADY known to be an absolute terror in the interior fronts with Detroit. He already made a big name for himself and had a very good productive year completley knocking the necks off of offensive lineman and making Detroit a very tough defensive minded football team. Dude is a hell-hound on the Detroit defense so I don't see how it can't go to Suh (66 tackles, 1 forced fumbles, 1 interception, 1 defensive touchdown, 10 sacks.)

10 sacks = offensive still has the ball...

7 INTS = TURNOVER, offense lost the ball.

82 tackles > than 66 tackles.

basic math, Trav....

More polished team? NE = YOUNGEST team in the NFL. Starting the most rookies on defense. Check your facts, man.... :P

Dude, comparing Defensive lineman and NFL corners couldn't be more far apart when talking responsibility and overall role. At one point during the season, the Patriots defense/secondary gave up the most yards in the air AND the most points as a defensive unit (they ranked 30th in passing defense and gave up a whopping 4,136 through the air.) 82 tackles from a corner means you are being picked on, plain and simple. To register 66 tackles and 10 sacks as a defensive lineman who is mostly being double-teams by the best interior lineman on the offensive side of the ball is incredible! McCourty played on the more polished TEAM (14-2) compared to Suh (6-10) which means Suh was far more valuable to his team. Suh is a wildebeest.

And Detroit ranked 23rd in rushing defense....hardly spectacular. Other than the rookie awards, and MAYBE Coach of the Year....all the other awards should be given to players whose teams made the playoffs...always been my contention. Kind of like Paul Hornung, who won the Heisman in the 50s on 2-8 team! Are you fucking kidding me? Nobody should get an award from a 6-10 team. Ever.
