Clinton was "the best Republican president we ever had." You low information rubes don't even understand the destructive conservative ideology you are on here defending. Twenty years from now, you'll blame Teddy Roosevelt for lax meat packing standards and Dennis Kucinich for starting the Iraq War. Up is down, right is left, the sky is green, and the only constant is that Republicans are stupid, dangerous, and ugly.
EDIT: The other part of this that I really love, is typically, conservatives have blamed the housing crash on over regulation. According to GOP revisionist mythology, banks were pressured by Democratic legislation such as redlining to extend loans 2 financially unfit minority families. Now you want to blame it on deregulation, one of the guiding principles of your own party?! Just how completely immune to reality are u? Meanwhile conservative contenders for 2016 are currently gearing up 2 outdo themselves in the race to deregulate Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, the consumer protection agency etc. Ultimately both parties are vulnerable to the influence of the banking sector. The question is do Americans stand a better chance of seeing reform within the party of FDR, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Or the party of Jack Abramoff and Grover Norquist? Wakey wakey, dumb asses. Going to a Hannity Freedom Concert won't help you pay the bills or put a child thru college.
Trying to paint Clinton as some "other kind of Democrat"... is revisionist.. and well.. just plain sorry.
If you are gonna blather on forcing conservatives to own the actions of the members of their party then you have to own the members of your own. A Republican Congress passed Glass-Steagal... and Clinton signed it when he could have vetoed it...
He's still a Democrat. He's your man. That's on you.
Own it bitch.
... and Senator Obama never voted for the Patriot Act.. oh wait.... he did vote on extending it in 2005, and then campaigned that he'd repeal it as POTUS... won the election and instead of repealing it.. he extended it again...
Got some more revision there Fathead?

The_Noble_Cause wrote:Glass Steagall is the name of the regulatory firewall passed by FDR to separate investment and commercial banking activities. It is NOT what Clinton sign into law. What Clinton signed got rid of Glass Steagall. As if it wasn't already transparently obvious, you haven't a god damn clue what the hell your talking about. Keep reciting ur zombie mantra, " Democrats bad, Republicans good, Democrats very bad..."

In the budget proposal he presented to Congress last month, President Barack Obama called for what would be the highest level of sustained taxation ever imposed on the American people, according to the analysis published last week by the Congressional Budget Office.

Gee, if that's true then most "Liberals" think that someone else's money belongs to everyone.

Where is your link to this article? Why are you actively preying on the brain dead and always trying to hide that 99.9999% of the time your "facts" comes from a discredited right wing source?
The_Noble_Cause wrote:Boomchild wrote:Not surprising. After all, Daddy Obama once wrote in an paper\article that limit a government could tax businesses and citizens is 100%. So we should be thankful that he has yet to go that far.
What he said was, "Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed." And theoretically speaking, he is 100% right. But why let something like facts get in the way of your propaganda? Under FDR, the rich got taxed at 90% and stayed that way until JFK lowered it to 70%. My memory is a little hazy. Help me out here. What is the top marginal tax rate currently under Obama? And if the rich, as a share of the population has grown exponentially, why isn't Obama taking after his Democratic predecessors and soaking them, as you claim? I think we can now safely add you to the list of uneducated, ass-dragging liars that populate this thread (not that there was ever any doubt).

I don't recall saying that the theory was wrong or right in my comment. However, I would not want my government taxing me at 100%. That's letting the government control what I can earn. Pay people what their government "thinks" a person is worth. As far as Obama hiking taxes into the range of past administrations, last I checked his term is not over and we have a long way to go. Doesn't change the fact the Obama believes in a re-distribution type system. He admitted it himself prior to running for POTUS. That type of system usually includes high taxation as part of the system. So don't worry he'll manage to shoe horn it in. Cause after all, behind closed doors and out of the public eye, all these fuckers in Washington are on the same page. Laughing their asses off thinking about how the public thinks we still have a real two party system of government. Thank you for posting the details of what daddy Obama thought was a good idea. You know what they say, like father, like son.

After Zeituni Onyango, the woman President Obama once called Auntie, died in a South Boston nursing home this month, her closest relatives gathered her belongings at her nearby apartment. There, framed photographs of her with the president covered the wall.
Weeping before a polished wood coffin at her wake this past Saturday, they described Ms. Onyango, the half sister of the president’s father, as “the spirit of the Obama family” and talked about raising money to send her body back to Kenya. Mr. Obama helped pay funeral expenses and sent a condolence note, Ms. Onyango’s family members said, but the president did not attend, as he was golfing.

You don't 'wake up' anybody. If anything, you put normal people to sleep with your repetitive copy/pasting of meaningless propaganda. The 'brain dead' mindlessly read and follow the propaganda because they need somebody else to think for them, just as you need others to type your points for you because you can't write them yourself.
