So? And they remained Democrats long after they renounced their racist views. Can’t say the same about David Duke, who is still racist, but became a fiercely loyal Republican. I ask again, why is that?

Never said he did.
K.C.Journey Fan wrote: Sorry, the argument that old South Democrats are now New Republicans is horseshit, like most of your spin and babbleing.
Next time I will try to provide a link from Inquisitr for you.

It is a widely known fact (at least to anyone with an above sped class reading level and NOT homeschooled by fundamentalist Dittoheads) that Southern delegates walked away from the Democratic convention en masse when the party adopted civil rights as part of the platform in the 40s. It happened. Deal with it. Strom Thurmond is a prime example of Democrat turned Republican, all due to the Party’s support for civil rights.

Most Jim Crow laws were local and state laws. What they have to do with national Dem leaders like Bill Clinton or Barack Obama in the year 2014 is a big stretch. However, the RNC, in the year 2014, is actively gerrymandering black voting districts. Why don’t we talk about that?

Great. And if John Travolta says he loves the taste of Kelly Preston’s pretty pink pussy more than Horshack’s ass, does that make it true? If it walks like a neo-con, and it talks like a neo-con, and it brainlessly repeats talking points and propaganda like a neo-con, then guess what? Well, you get the idea..

Most of the mess we have now will fit squarely on Dodd,Frank, Pelosi, Ried, Carter, and Clintons shoulders. Bush warned no less then 21 times about the Freddie and Fannie bubble, but didn't get anything changed.
Alan Greenspan, Fed chair, invincible demi-god of free market principles, and Ayn Rand protégé, could have reined in the housing bubble at any time. He never did. Markets, in his view, were/are self correcting. Bush DID find plenty of time to talk up WMD mushroom clouds, to interfere with Terri Schiavo, to try to privatize Social Security, and to promote home ownership among every American, qualified or unqualified. The truth is, as successful as Freddie and Fannie were during the bubble, it was nothing compared to Wall Street. Rein in Freddie and Fannie all you want. Would that have ended investment banks from buying up and securitizing bad loans? Like any asset bubble, the sky was the limit until it all came crashing down.

Just a hint - if you’re trying to prove that you really “didn’t like Bush”, this isn't the best way to go about it. You’re clearly about as independent from the GOP as my nutsack is from my left thigh on a warm summer day.
