Ed, would you consider PM'ing me the pic? I will keep it private.

Do you recall that he was from Philly area?

Well we met at a Steve Augeri concert at Parx Casino in Bensalem, PA so I guess the odds of him being from somewhere nearby would be pretty good. I'll have to track down the photo but I have a pretty good idea where it is on one of my laptops.

Not to be ghoulish but I will try to match it to Philly.com obit pics from July 1 onward. There are thousands of Philly obits and not all provide pics but I'd like to try and find him, it may lead nowhere.

That's a lot of pictures to look through. I hope that he is OK and just wants to be left alone.

AR sent me the pic, TNC's pic is not there, at least thru July 25th. He disappeared from here July 1st. There are dudes who have died around Philly that might meet his age and other criteria, but without a name I a stumped. I know one thing, he would have been here for the election bullshit party.

Yeah, it's hard to believe that he would have bailed on the fun of the election unless something really more important came up. Perhaps someday he'll show up again out of nowhere.

Did somebody or something set him off? He was highly active on his last posting day. He posted a lot in the Journey forum too so it's not like he was idle of some sort. Hell, when Andrew posted about shutting the boards down, he was one of the most vocal people against it. I just hope he's okay and he just decided to leave and like AR said, be left alone.

Still nothing? I went back and looked, he had 20 posts in the last 3 day he posted here. Since July 1, nothing. This is one of the things I hate about boards/facebook/etc. someone can be dead and you don't have any idea. Especially if they use aliases, as most of us do here.

I use my real name.

After Ed sent me TNC's pic, I scoured over 3300 obits from Philly.com and also a couple surrounding suburban newspapers and no pics matched TNC. I searched dates July 1 thru August 25th. I also went thru tons of his old posts starting from his very first post here. He did in fact live in the Philly area and attended concerts from Philly to Atlantic City to Wilmington, De. He regularly went to Tower Records in Philly. He made no mention of a wife or family here, nor did he hint at a real life name or occupation that I could find. I also looked at probably over 100 obits with no pic, but the age and time seemed to match our dates, so I then Googled those people and images and searched, but man that gets exhausting, wouldn't want to be a detective. :D He's out there somewhere but without the slightest bit of RL info I'm stumped. Kinda miss the guy.

Yes.
TNC went off the radar in July 2016. Monker posted in the Journey forum December 2016.

Dude - NOT COOL! Who does that? PM's had to go to your email, right? You are saying in 8 months or so you didn't think anyone would ask about you?

Was this a 3 squares a day and an hour of sunlight type of thing? Should FF have been checking arrest records instead of obits?

What was weird is there was ZERO indication you'd be taking a break. SO it def seemed like you dropped dead. With great power comes great responsibility. If you are a top poster and decide to take a break, say "Fuck you guys, I need a break." Let that be your last post.

Anyway, welcome back. Not much has gone on around here since you have been gone. Just a little election, some Hall of Fame stuff. Pretty quiet.

Pretty sure any email alerts go to my old AOL account. I really just logged off. I exchanged a few emails with Drew about the abysmal new Meat Loaf album. Other than that, been laying low. Good to be back.

He chose not to because I sent Drew a PM as well.

I'm just going to say, it was pretty messed up. Do with that what you will.

This whole TNC thing has gotten me thinking. Not just now, but since the time we noticed he hadn't posted. I know that in this thread there was much concern, some damn-near tribute posts as if it was a funeral, and FF explaining how he spent hours and hours scouring obits, a morbid, but rather caring task indeed. I mean, think about that. One man spending many hours taking on a grim task to help understand what happened to another man, whom he has never met and whose name he did not know. Let that shit sink in.

TNC, I don't know what happened to you and I won't push. But if you didn't realize the impact of your presence here, you should have. And if you did and had the capacity to log in, then I hope you now understand even further.

I don't know. I think if I stopped posting tomorrow, people would not notice all that much. But I would hope that after a few months, someone might say hey, where's that dude with the incredible Avatar? And if something tragic happened to me, friends of mine here would post saying so.

This place is full of people that have socialized outside of here, have helped one another, consider themselves friends away from here. This board is not nothing. It may not be hoppin' like the old days, but I think most people that post here look forward to the posts of nearly everyone else. Even fuckin' Monker for God's sake! :)

I'm displeased on a couple fronts here, but I know I just have to let it go. But I tread a little more lightly. And TNC, I don't presume to tell another person what to do, but I sure hope you reached out to FF and discussed things. I know I'd be feeling a lot more something if I was the one scouring obits. Maybe it's not my place to say that, but....

In due time. (Maybe). I really can’t get riled up about this shit anymore. This band pretty much sux now. And I’ve been out of commission far too long. Something….something…..How is your DIY gender transition surgery going?
