Like...so what? That is all you could come up with for Star Power?

Well dude, fortunately, most of us aren't like you..

he must have been getting worried cause now everyone is singing.

No, IMO they would have ONE more successful tour and then they would disappear. And that is NOT the definition of success.JourneyTroll wrote:Steve Perry was great for Journey, and he really made the band top notch during his wonderful time as their lead singer.

Yes he did, but that time is over.

Oh for cryin' out lud, that RATES right up there with Augeri shows up for work. LOL

But I thought u said Perry could never be replaced, so why did you even go see a Journey show without Steve Perry?
Isn't just the act of buying tickets and attending akin to treason?
The_Noble_Cause wrote:Soledad? wrote:As for the risk factor: Replacing Perry with a Perry Twin was ballsy? Excuse me while I roll on the floor giggling.
Out of all the reviewed candidates, I'd say yes, Augeri was the most brazen choice. A "safe" choice would have been the more Perry-ish Chalfant or Hugo.
The_Noble_cause wrote:Soledad? wrote:A ROCK BAND singing a song about drug abuse was a risk? Pardon me while I double over with laughter.
For a largely innocuous rock/pop machine like Journey, yes, it was.
The_Noble_Caise wrote:Soledad? wrote:Having multiple vocalists who purportedly SUCK was gutsy? Remind me to file that in my Silliest Things Ever Said folder.
Whether they suck or not, it's still an ambitious creative risk and besides,
didn't you just say that you want a singer who sounds NOTHING like Perry?
Well now you have three; Jon, Neal and Ross and yet still you are not content!
Hi John Kerry. Can you say flip-flop?

I hope I can get a Generations CD so that I can be that much more informed about whether this band has what it takes. It will take a lot to impress me, though. I wish I could hear the album now, dammit.
Soledad? wrote:Oh, and Noble Pause, you asked me who I would recommend as Journey singer.
I did state in another that I didn't have an recommendations - it's really up to Journey, not me, to choose their singer, don't you think?
But just to amuse you, I'll list off my possible replacements:
That Foreigner dude

I don't think you know that the Foreigner dude has enough trouble doing his own stuff right now, after his medical problem. He has good and bad nights...unfortunately the night I saw 5 years ago was not very good. Alot of it I read he said has to do with his extra weight.
