I've been tough on this song before, but it is a major departure from the power ballad formula (which still works amazingly, no doubt, evidenced by Knowing That You Love Me). It's actually really growing on me. The Time it ain't but I can get into the ass-kickingness of that tune later.

NNNNNNNRRRRR NNNNNNNRRRRRRR
NNNNNNNRRRRRRRR
Love it.

j/k - I'm not jumping on you about this, Distant. I find it funny when people say this band member told me...
As Herbie Herbert said in his recent interview, "no one read the credits anymore."
This is the way it's listed - (Cain/Schon/Pessis)
then why bring it up. More second hand news to kick them even more-ERICDistant Voice wrote:Shania wrote:I also remember reading about this song being co-written by Geoff Tate of Queensryche and looks like it was the first track that Augeri recorded with Journey...Something like in the first week after he got in the band.
Not that I care, because I really dont,
But according to certain people in the business, it was a song written by Geoff Tate/ Jack Blades
Neal Schon was receiving alot of help from Blades at one point, this was one of the songs he presented to Journey, the band dedicated this song about the use of Deen Castronovos past drug abuse, and near fatal overdose.
(Note) this is 2nd hand info and I have no proof of this...

Totally uncalled for comment...on your part. And an insult to Joe's thread.
