Makes perfectly good sense to me, Not.

I'm curious about last nights show in Denver. Up until the break, Jon would introduce Jeff to the crowd by telling them of "Steve Augeri is ill and couldn't be here with us so our friend blah blah blah"...
How was Jeff introduced last night, if at all?
I kinda feel bad for the guy but I too think Augeri is done with Journey. If he can still sing and can get TS spun up again, All the Luck in the World!

On the review, I've heard so many glowing reviews of the JSS Journey, then I heard the bootlegs of those same shows. I don't put much stock in reviews.

LMAO! And just how did they screw Perry over?

perryslave wrote:We all know that "TBF" would have sold extremely well even without promotion. It would not have killed them to just let it go for that one album, let steve get over the hip thing then start again fresh. BUT NO!!! I honestly believe that neal was just looking for any excuse he could find to oust perry. But it has come back to haunt him. Steadily declining record sales, poor concert attendance( comparable to SP days) waining interest by the public in general(not the handfull of post perry fanatics) Huge continuing interest in perry era journey material as evidenced by new interest in "DSB" which pushed that album to "diamond" status, the fact that the "81 houston dvd just went "platinum"(in less than a year) and a steady rise of daily new interest in SP as evidenced by a surge of new registrations on every major perry board out there(whether he does anything or not!) And last but certainly not least this lead singer debocle. The facts speak for themselves!

He didn't need an excuse. Considering Perry's history of cutting tours short, I don't blame him.

jrnysc wrote:Well folks, might as well throw my two cents in on the situation I reckon. For those who think Deano is whack (I used to), I just read on the main page that the Journey/Def Leppard tour is going through sometime in December. Now, for anyone who thought Augeri was coming back. If you have a brain at all this should be the writing on the wall for you. A couple of months ago they were about to have to abandon the tour, and now they have added 3 months with a "fill in" lead singer. Yeah, ok, whatever. What sucks to me is that Augeri fans, who have tried to be patient, will probably hear nothing until after Santa Claus comes.
perryslave wrote::lol: Yeah! right! Like it's really steve perry's fault thay ross gambled away all of his money! The reason SP was rolling in the dough is because he deserved it and was smart with his money unlike other people. You are right about one thing though, now money is all it's about. Quantity not quality!
