Antenatal (Prenatal)
Argy-bargy (Heated argument)
Back of beyond (Middle of nowhere)
Bap Hamburger bun (regional)
Biscuit (Cookie)
Blotto (Drunk)
Bobby (Policeman)
Bollocks (Testicles)
Bum (Buttocks)
Bun in the oven (Pregnant)

Back in the early 90s, while deployed to Saudi Arabia, I had Thanksgiving dinner at the home of a british gentleman that worked for the Oil company ARAMPCO. Anyway, there were 2 middle-aged female brits there as well and they were really hitting the wine. About half-way thru dinner, the female next to me asked,
"Have you ever had Spotted Dick?"

I spit food out all over the place...

I think I had it once as a child when I caught the Chicken Pox, but it cleared up pretty quickly. In the USA they call this "Dick Pox".

Damn if this thread didn't digress. The Fonz did jump over trash cans, by the way. That episode was certainly better than Fraugeri mimicking Steve Perry for the last eight years.

How is the band being complacent? I think their current Management and the state of the music biz in general has made Journey 'irrelevant' to this generation. They can tour and pump out 3 albums a year and it still won't make a difference unless the Big Corporate Machine pushes it. It's sad. 20-30 years ago, the schedule that Journey has maintained for the past 8 years would've made them SuperStars (and it did) but now they are looked on as a washed up nostalgia act by shit head critics and record execs and the public blindly follows along while listening to Paris-Fucking-Worthless-Tramp-Hilton on their iPods!!!

Well said, I agree. Paris is a good example of the crap these record execs are pushing and promoting these days. From what I read she isn't going to tour to support the album, what the hell is up with that? Why would they back that kind of shit instead of Journey.

What's up with that? Simple. She knows she can't sing live!! At least give her credit for recognizing her limitations. Sadly, as bad as Paris is, this is nothing different than Ricky Nelson, David and Shaun Cassidy, even William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. There is a market for any celebrity with a substantial fan base. Don't blame the celebrity as much as the labels waving all that green in front of them....

The reason she won't tour is because she's so freaking stupid that she would fuck up the lip-synching required! The song would be playing and she would just stand there and pose for the cameras in the audience and say "That's Hot" over and over again...

Hey, Memorex could sponsor the tour and it could be Paris, Lohan, Ashley Simpson and the one living dude from Milli Vanilli :)
Just put a cardboard cut-out of the guy that died, string it from the rafters so you can make it dance, roll the tape and, HOT DAMN, you got a monster tour of sexy (?), under-fed-looking tramps and a major renuion tour for a Grammy-winning, 90s Pop sensation!

Well I wouldn't expect a tour from her that wasn't lip-synced. That is a given for the pop stars that Carlitto mentioned above but she could at least do that. I think you are giving her way to much credit as the album should have never been released because the sales are not what the record company was expecting at all. I would give her credit for recognizing her limitations if she decided not to release the album at all. I agree with you on the money part though that had to be a big reason why she did it.

How ironic...Journey has abandoned the spectacle of headlining top-notch concerts and creating adventurous albums for the nostalgia of touring with other 80's bands, and therefore has jumped the shark.

Dude, with Augeri, they were VERY limited in what they couldn't do. ..Nothing much.

Let's see if they can and will, now. I believe you will be amazed.

As TNC's sig indicates: the very nature of JOURNEY is change and motion. JOURNEY has ALWAYS changed. They've changed personnel and they've changed musical directions many times over. They've abandoned this endearing quality and have reduced themselves to a glorified Sha Na Na act.

And the fans don't care. They're happy with the yearly greatest hits tours and the occasional album or EP.

If it were me I'd be looking for some new fans who actually gave a damn.
