With distorted logic like this Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini would have never lost power. Hussein averaged killing WAY more per year BTW. And at the very least the death's are now, with a few minute exceptions, unintentional or by their OWN people. We handed over power a week ago...we're now more or less "backup."
Hardly distorted logic.... The assault on Iraq had nothing to do with saving the Iraqi people from Hussein.... kind of like W letting us know he doesn't think of Bin Laden....whatever. The destruction of lives did not happen over the last week. The destruction of families was not at the hand of their neighbor. I speak of people I know.... first hand accounts. Yeah, the USA is a disgrace to many countries because of W's antics. Heartless liar, he is.
Al-Qaeda appreciates your sympathy. And by the way, Zarquawi received medical treatment long before we ever arrived in Iraq. He's had ties to Al-Qaeda for many years. How would he, a member of Al-Qaeda, receive medical treatment in a country where Hussein knew of every single person that comes and goes? And how did Al-Qaeda magically appear with sophisticated weapons in the Al-Anbar province, virtually overnight? They've been their for quite some time. And I'm sure the thousands of women who were raped during Hussein's rule would disagree with much of what you say.
Right. Okay

Don't appreciate the Al-Qaeda sympathy comment and especially don't appreciate the rape comment. If it gets you through this, go ahead and insult me...

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. I was NOT insulting you. The Al-Qaeda comment was made in jest. The rape comment was more a matter of fact. Women, thousands of them, were brutally raped and mutilated under Hussein. That has now, to the best of my knowledge, stopped. I tend to think that a lot of women, while still not 100% safe, are happy as shit that he is no longer in power. And remember this: That country was happier than Friga watching Little House On The Prairie re-runs when we made our way to downtown Baghdad. But, as is usually the problem, the minority Sunni's saw this as a threat to their dictatorship and used the religion card to sway insurgents from all other countries to cross the borders.
PS If I did indeed offend you Lula, know that it was unintentional, and that I apologize (made sure I spelled it right for Deano)
