I believe those were called "go-go" boots. I have 150 pairs of shoes and more then a few pairs of boots. My favorite are a pair I got on clearance at DSW a couple years ago for $14!!!. They are knee high black patents with pointy toes, nasty tall heels and curvy zipper up the side! Great concert boots!
