I think this is a slightly skewed line of reasoning. Its akin to somebody buying a few bars of chocolate and then claiming to own a stake in the company that makes it. Or perhaps a better analogy would be somebody who buys a car (which is a big investment in time and expense) but then uses that to assume he now has the right to dictate what cars the manufacturer makes in the future.
You like the music that Journey has made in the past (or I assume you do or you wouldn't be here reading this now). You don't have any obligation to like the band members or its management. Their only commitment to you is to produce a product that you are willing to buy. That may be blunt but its a fact.
This debate has been done to death several times already in the past few months, and I don't want to stir the pot again. The fact is, there are those that believe they have a right to ask the band to comment on the situation and those that don't. Neither is likely to be persuaded otherwise, no matter how heated the debate gets here.
My own view is that it's a reasonable question to ask of the band, but it isn't a given right to expect an answer. I would love for there to be some form of official update but I don't demand or expect one any time soon.

Marty because it is the truth, that board sucks and especially the mods. You know that better than anyone else .

Reality is a real bummer for some...Rockin'Deano wrote:Marty, are you all pissy because your wife is a moderator over there and that site sucks?
Maria, get real. Steve Augeri has no major health problems. For you to believe that is sickening. He was canned for not being able to sing.
Fyre...Hey suckass, you bring all that BT gayness over here. I am not about to let this board get all squishy and gay.
Folks, all the info you need is right here.

As far as BT, their behind the scenes stuff I know of...it is all personal and has to do with cliques and groups and such. They are pathetic over there.

You really are a kinder and gentler dude! For what it's worth, I definitely wasn't insulting Marty, as I don't know much about him. I was just making the point that I am always surprised when I see someone defend Back Talk. It is a VERY poorly moderated site, and most of the mods on that site are a bit too full of themselves. For the record Marty, I don't know who your wife is, so I'm certainly not singling her out. Honestly, if it wasn't Journey's official site, I would never even visit it. The only reason I ever even sought out MR was because I get sooooo frustrated by the fact that the mods on BT don't allow ANYONE to say ANYTHING! I honestly don't really understand why they even have a message board up and running. You do have to wonder why it is that Journey information always comes out on this board before it's ever released on the band's official website. I also now know after being a member of this site why JSS posts here, often, and stays away from the band's official website as much as possible. This site is FAR less political, and that makes it much more palatable to most people.
