Love that song! Some sexy singing by SP on that one!JourneyRox wrote:Ok AR is gonna slam the hell out of me for this one. I don't care.
How did I miss this song first time round & think nothing of it? My scratch old turntable maybe is ready for the junkyard. I never paid much attention to it before. But the sexy way Perry's voice goes all deep at the beginning is doing things to me every time I listen. It gives me shivers & more. I can barely take it. Holy fuck! What a fucking amazing voice. Well we know that. Then If Only For The Moment Girl, another underrated song. Holy crap.
U know what. Perry really doesn't need to sing again. He did it all. & yes, he's a God of music. Anyone that sang like this has got to be. If he never opens his mouth again what he has already recorded is historic. Sure I wanna hear more. But holy fuck. I have a feeling someone will open a time capsule in the future, find a few Perry-voiced tunes & try to figure out if they can do some time traveling to get back to the 80s and see him live.
Ladies, does this song get u all worked up too?

Does the re-master sound any different?
I've read that alot of the FTLOSM tracks sound like different vocal takes have been added/spliced in.
Ok AR is gonna slam the hell out of me for this one. I don't care.

But but but I used the word "fuck" 3 times in my post. That's not romance. Harlequin would think it way too dirty. "Entered her womanly warmth" or some other such crap would be a romance novel.

But it's just a song. Let's eliminate SP from the discussion and fill in another singer's name. It's just silly sounding.:

Robin Zander, Joe Lynn Turner, Freddie Mercury are also favorites of mine and I like them every bit as much as Steve Perry. I don't see their fans writing Harlequin romance novels to them on their message boards.
Very worth repeating.
Ronnie James Dio just makes me weak in the knees when he sings. At the mere thought of hearing his golden voice I must drop my pants and masturbate. Music should stop and no one else should attempt to even try to sing anything ever again. His angelic voice has no peer. When I finally leave this earth I only hope that his voice is the last I hear because it is the voice of God...
See what I mean? It's silly and annoying. (I put Dio in there to make it more ridiculous- but I am a fan of his vocals)
Robin Zander, he did the tune "in this country" from Over The Top stallone film right. That's a great tune. Are there any good songs from Robin, any recommendations
AR wrote: Besides his work with Cheap Trick, he also had a solo album out a few years ago. A great track on that one would be "Time Will Let You Know". He actually does a rendition on that dueting with his daughter on the Cheap Trick "Silver" DVD. It's also backed by a symphony. Good stuff!
Also, unlike a certain someone, Zander has been singing non-stop since the 70's and putting out new material and touring in Cheap Trick all the time. Still has his voice and hits most if not all the high notes. The new Trick CD "Rockford" is excellent as well.
He is amazing live. Great presence & he looks hot too. He hits all the notes still. Was it u who said he has always smoked too? Damn if that's true
