In my opinion, I think JSS is a great choice to front the band and I'm glad to see Augieri go. Augieri's voice really annoyed me and it sounded like a thin photocopy of Steve Perry's legendary pipes. With JSS fronting them, Journey is a relevant rock band again instead of a lame tribute act with a cheeseball soundalike vocalist.
And who cares if Augieri is a nice guy? All I care about is how good the band sounds in concert and on record and Steve Perry Lite wasn't doing it for me.
