Good point Fred. I agree. Anything Augeri says now, this late, would not help his cause.
Like many groups out there, it is interesting how many of them wind up being in a place where lawyers are needed and even the courtroom comes into play.
Sad, isn't it? That whole Styx legal debacle was way too public & way too sad. It's just sad to think that a bunch of guys (or gals, as the case may be) who once got together to make a dream come true end up hating one another & fighting in court. But it's like any business or partnership, including marriage. I've had friends who I thought adored each other, then they get divorced & it's nasty, nasty, nasty.
what if five years or eight years down the road, JSS's voice takes a dive (God FORBID!), what will happen then? Will JSS leave of his own accord?
I really hope that doesn't happen to Jeff. But if it does, I feel really confident in saying he wouldn't lip. That's just not the kind of guy he is. I don't know how it would play out exactly. I think he'd step down. I think anyone who has this issue in any band is entitled to a settlement. I just think Augeri should have stepped down gracefully. I don't care what management or anyone else said. It was always his decision to do so. If he had, I think we would all think of him a lot more fondly. Sure we've all made mistakes in our lives. But his was a very public one.
Fleischman, Perry, Augeri and now Soto and I can't help but ask "Hey, who's next?"

I don't think Fleischman counts. If u count him, u need to count Rolie as he was far more significant to Journey than Fleischman. If Jeff can give these guys 8 yrs & I hope he does, I think they might all retire at that point. Who knows tho? I'm just glad Jeff was available to bail them out this yr & most of all, that he was willing. I look forward to the future.
