When J Cain writes the words by himself there.......... ( Xcept Faithfully )
Sounds like he was trying to write like J Mellencamp............
I just bought his Windy city breakdown cd.. it's ok....

I don't want to see Jrny at the Superbowl. I'd rather the guys take time off and do their commitments that they have scheduled and then do what they are going to do, hopefully write and who knows what.
While I wnat to see more of Journey on TV, haven't really done TV promo since ROR, I don't want them whoring themselves out like the Eagles and many other acts do, just for the almighty dollar. Don't get me wrong, teh Eagles are a great band, but the regular fan can't afford a decent seat at their concert. THAT is what you get when Irving is totally behind a band FOR the money.

I'm sure that was part of "the deal".
roknroseville wrote:Songs like Better together , self defense , Knowing that you love me , Gone crazy , Harms way-wouldn't had made it onto Frontiers or Arrival
When the so called first single is Place in your heart you know it's not a good thing!!!

Recently it's been mentioned that he has his voice back and has been in the studio....But if he truly is recording a solo record, I am sure it will be on his own time, and he will want to make sure he sounds great to dispell all those naysayers out there. Besides, Steve doesn't owe anyone anything. Considering the circumstances surrounding his departure of the band, I wouldn't be surprised if he just needed some time to reconnect with life off the carousel.
fred_journeyman wrote:Maybe Augeri can sing and maybe he can't. It really doesn't matter, does it? Obviously, he's unable to do any type of justice to the classics - he simply doesn't have the voice for it anymore.
As far as his own music and/or CD, more power to him if he goes into the studio and produces something that turns out to be halfway decent. It's no skin off my nose if that does or doesn't happen.
If he DOES manage to produce NEW music, I'll certainly be interested to hear what it sounds like. If I like it, I'll buy it. If not, I won't. Simple.
In the meantime, I'm certainly more interested at this point to see what Journey is able to do with Jeff officially at the lead singing helm. They certainly have the potential of producing something awe-inspiring and here's hoping they do. That will at least get them half way to where I'd like to see them and if they follow through with a tour to promote/support the new music by playing at least some of it live during their concerts, then they will have crossed the finish line as far as I'm concerned.

I'd be curious to know what kind of PR he's going to spin and do to follow this whole drama? When is he actually going to address his fans? will it be in person or on line or what because if you read other places they are really really really upset!
