My hubby is a cop, and although the reds could very well be someone scary, you have to remember, a sexual offender is not the same as a sexual PREDATOR. The latter scares me the most. You can be an offender just from an 18 year old having sex with a 15 or 16 year old, and the parents press charges. Although it still may be someone you don't want in your neighborhood, there are many different reasons they are labeled offenders.

Yep, SPH's hubby & mine have worked these cases for years, an offender can be a 19 year old having sex with his 17 year old girlfriend, her parents find out & BOOM...press charges & he's labeled an "offender". Predators are different.

Very true, but if the picture of the man appears to be in his fifties and you click on "convictions" and it says Lewd conduct with a child under 14, it's a pretty good indicator that this is not the case!
