You obviously did way too many drugs back then to remember what really was. Dokken had A LOT of airplay back then. If you want to be honest, you'll admit that your comparison of Tall Stories to Dokken was pathetic. There is NO comparison between the 2 bands. Dokken had many more hits than CRAP Cinderella and yes they had a WAY better guitarist. The duo of Dokken-Lynch was ALMOST as good but not as successful commercially as Perry-Schon.
Dokken, Cinderella, Winger, Mr Big, Poison, Tesla,,,, they were all bunch of 80s buttrock and all sounded close to eachother.... but Journey was a class better. Now if Jeff wouldve sang for Dokken in the 80s, then it would have been a different situation .... but then again, they wouldnt been called Dokken, maybe "Soto" or possibly "Rising Force" ?
Is it me or has this topic been hijack by 'dokker-lover' ?

Gotta partially disagree.Poison was a total shit band, but there was some really good musicianship in Tesla, Cinderella,Winger, and especially Mr.Big!!
Eric Martin in my opinion is one of the BEST vocalists in rock.
He's also done some work with Neal, and used to demo songs with Jonathan.
The guy is a soul belter if there ever was one.Lean Into It is a total classic.
They were never a hair band (neither was Tesla), they just got caught up in the image of the time. Also like most bands of the time, when they did the ballad, they were lumped in to the rest of the shit at that time!
Kind of the same with Winger. All of those guys are really good players, even if Kip was a bit of a cheese dick.
