Not in my best form for good thoughts now.
Cool beans that we didn't have to take the kids
sledding as it was ass sealing cold, but a sad night
here as I lost a good friend and family member.
I'm feeling twice as numb this evening Lot.

A tree snapped down the street from the ice and that is happening all over and taking down power lines. A 9 yr old girl was killed by a breaking branch. Now on top of the ice we expect 3 more in of snow. The temps will by 20 and a low of 6 with 35 mile hr winds. Salt won't be effective.Above Interstate 70 through Columbus, Indianapolis and mid Illinois had 4 ft drifts of snow with blizzaed conditions.Good luck to those in NY state. We have another storm for Sat & Sun which they are not saying yet how much of what. This reminds me of 77-78 .

Hey, ohsosoto and lady grinning soul - you're both in Cape, huh? Do you know each other? I go down there every so often 'cause we have an office there, and also, my parents live in Jackson. Glad you didn't get much of the bad weather. My office finally closed and wouldn't you know it, right in front of the building I tried to stop at a stop light and slid about 25 feet into the back of some little car, which then slid into the car in front of it. I HATE snow!![]()

Yes, we know each other--no one else would go to and appreciate the concerts we do. We both live in Jackson. We didn't get anything but cold, nasty wind. I heard STL got some nasty weather. My sister said South County mall was closed yesterday and her son didn't have school either. I'm ready for spring....
lady grinning soul wrote:My sister lives in Oakville also. You might be neighbors! That place is so small. Were you born and raised there? People who are born and raised there never leave--never go into the city.
lady grinning soul wrote:My sister has lived there for maybe 6-7 years. How old are you? Did you go to Oakville High? I know several 30-40 somethings that live there (although, may not be the kind of people you would want to know!)
lady grinning soul wrote:Not sure if I know anyone that age. Most of the people I know are older than me. Do you know any Hartmanns? I think the name of the street they lived on is Rockview (?). My sister lives on Ringer.
