Deen does a good job on the three that he does, and if they're all comfortable with having him do those that's fine, but I don't think it's because Jeff can't do them justice. I'd actually like to hear Jeff do those sings every now and then.

Gotta be honest here - I think JSS is a great choice to continue the Journey - but there was one boot w/ JSS singing BGTY that was quite painful to hear (Charlotte maybe?). Then again, I realize this was one of his first shows w/ Journey, his voice wasn't rested at the time and he did not have in-ear monitors yet. I havent noticed that tune back on the setlist.

Dude, the main, lead vocals from the Escape clip you posted are exactly the same as the DVD lead vocals. Listen. There's no question. Just listen from 1:05-1:11 on the youtube clip and 1:16-1:21 from the DVD. That's just one instance. You cannot tell me that those are not identical.

You obviously didn't read the facts I stated on YouTube or you would have debated the FACTS I stated. You can't convince me otherwise. The fact that he sings most of the song the same every night is no different than listening to JSS every night. A singer finds the way he likes to sing the song and does so consistently. Not rocket science dude.

This is the Escape audio from the Vegas 2001 DVD:

This is the Escape audio from the Manchester show in early 2006. Listen for the inflections in the vocal track. They are identical to the Vegas audio:
www.journeytributeband.com/escapemanchestersolo.wma
Now here are both tracks synched together, one in the left ear and one in the right. With headphones on, there is a perfect stereo (identical) vocal mix:

One thing I found surprising was that Augeri did some very specific vocal inflections and melody changeups, and they were identically repeated night after night.
