Every time the whole subject is brought up, I always get these weird scenarios in my head of all the band members sat on the bus singing "Ding dong Stevie's out!" Wizard Of Oz style.

I know it's not nice, but I just seem to get that in my head.

Yeah. It's pretty obvious they wanted rid of him a while ago.

I might have my own thoughts on how it was done, but everyone seems happy now so that's the main thing I suppose.

What the Hell is that supposed to mean? Are you insinuating Augeri is going to release a great solo effort and completely wipe the floor with Journey?

I shouldn't say this, but I'm not sure I believe the solo album is gonna happen. Would be good if it did, but for some reason I've got a gut feeling it might not happen at all.

Time will tell.

Oh come on? I have read and heard that if it is released and it tanks, I am getting sued....

Might as well start the process. it will sell exactly the number of members on BT.

Who are you talking to? no one here disagrees with you. :) You just like to argue, if you get sued maybe others can chip in and help you with your lawsuits. I think everyone here appreciates your efforts.

WTF do u meam by that?
Are you suggesting that in "after-life" Augeri gets his chance to "get even" by gettin rid of Neal, Deen, Ross and Jon and replacing them all with underrated, underestimated , Puerto Rican musician born in NY (AFTER he finds out they been all using fake instruments)

Probably right, not to Journey anyway. I'm a huge Perry fan, but right now they'd have to tune down more than a half step for him. I don't think a 58 year old man could hit any of those notes, I don't care who it is.

Hey, then it'll tie Generations ;)

One thing about it, if the guy does do a solo album (and I have heard that he is doing that), he won't have to be in Perry's shadow anymore. That's a good thing for him. Personally, I hope the guy does well and puts all of this behind him. If you don't dig him, you don't. So what? I hope all of them do well in their respective camps. What happened happened and it's time to get over it. Who cares if he's got some fans. The guy worked hard for that for a number of years and one dumb band decision shouldn't cost any of them their future. Dang, let him up already.

I'd argue that point. I'm betting Chalfant is approaching that age and he can hit it no problem. There are several others out there that can do it but not as old as Perry for sure.

Wow, you did pose a great argument there. Chalfant. Hell of a singer. SP knocked him out of any opportunity. Might just have been interesting. That dude has some great pipes.

Dude,

I'm with you. I was shocked when they picked Augeri over Chalfant on the first go. I seen Kevin in 2003 at the Illinois State Fair. Two Fires were playing at the fair and Journey played later in the evening. The guy walked of his bus scarfing a quarter pounder, walked onto the stage and kicked ass. They did two Journey tunes and were much better than Journey were later in the evening. The dude has great pipes and good writing skills as well.

Sorry, I should have been more pointed. They tried to take me on, got their collective two tonned asses beat, and now throw out this defamation and libel bullshit. I will never be defeated....Please remember this Maria and feel free to pass it along to those psycho tards.

What's the matter you missed me around here? Actually Dean I feel sorry for you....the band you gave your soul to, has twice denied you. Just a handshake acquaintance to JSS and according to Ross an obsessed fan. The conversation was "IF" SA decided to sue. I'm pretty sure you're a speck on his radar too these days.

Well as you probably know, Journey was giving him a look just before TBF, but SP appeared out of nowhere and they just had to go with SP. I can't say they didn't make a good choice. SP is better than anyone. I'll bet Chalfant said to himself that he wouldn't give them the time of day if it happened again. I could be wrong, but that's what I think happened.

Unnecessary!

Truth is, SA lost his voice and Journey got caught with tapes being played to cover for SA. Journey will not, and I repeat "WILL NOT" ever confess to this ever happening, anywhere, to protect their credibility as a "live" touring band.

Ur a churchy lady, right? (at least some have said u are)

How many times did Paul deny Jesus? I believe it was 3 times. & u know what, Paul ended up a saint w/his own gospel, memorialized for ALL time. Dean's 2 down, 1 to go. Maybe he will have his own section in The Journey Bible. :D

One thing I've always wondered about is just how much of this stuff on the net SA's seen. I mean, does he just have a general idea what's being said or do you think he logs on here to see what's said next?

If I was him I wouldn't bother, but you just don't know do you?

Well, they have to say what they have to say. Believe me Maria, I could produce so much contrasting evidence to dispell what they say, but won't. I love those 5 fuckers and will gladly take the bullets for them to keep going and making music. I am a team player. As soon as you come around, and see Jeff as the singer the band needed, you can then thank me.

I'm no biblical student as u might have guessed. Someone PMd me that it was actually Peter who denied Christ, not Paul. If so, I stand corrected as to the name of the person who denied Christ 3 times. But my point is still the same (as cited above). He still ended up a saint w/a whole gospel according to him.

(Altho Saint Deano...the gospel according to Deano...I dunno :-))
