OT: 20 Worst Song Lyrics

What exactly was Sade thinking with "Coast to coast, LA to Chicago"???? She must have failed out of Geography class!

I like The Bellamy Brothers "If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?" Not to mention "On your knees, boy" from U2.

The title ALONE on this one is nasty - Slayer's "Necrophiliac". ICK!!! The Wacko Jacko quote from "Bad" is just not right in light of the accusations against him - "Your butt is mine". Double ICK!

Great list - thanks for sharing the link.

"Hell YEAH it stinks in here,
Cuz I'M THE SHIT!!"

Yeah they got some pretty bad ones in that list.

But they missed my all-time cringer...

Starship's "We Built This City"

"Marconi plays the mamba..."

Dumbasses. A mamba is a snake. A mamBO is a dance.
(Yet for some reason I still like the song)

These have got to be the worst lyrics of all time:

"Brimfull Of Asha" by Cornerstone

There's dancing behind movie scenes
Behind the movie scenes
Sadi Rani
shes the one that keeps the dream alive
from the morning, past the evening
till the end of the light

Brimful of Asha on the 45
Well, its a brimful of asha on the 45
Brimful of asha on the 45
well, its a brimful of asha on the 45

And dancing behind movie scenes
Behind those movie screens
asha bhosle
Shes the one that keeps the dream alive
From the morning past the evening
till the end of the light

and singing
illuminate the main streets and the cinema aisles
we don't care about no government warning 'bout that
promotion of the simple life and the dams they are building

Everybody needs a bosom for a pillow
everybody needs a bosom
mines on the 45

mohammed Rafi
45
Lata Mangeshkar
45
solid state radio
45
ferguson mono
45
balboo bleak
45
Jacques Dutronc and the Bolan Boogie
the heavy hitters and the chichi music
all in your radio
45
two in ones
45
ovvo records
45
trojan records
45

Everybody needs a bosom for a pillow
everybody needs a bosom
mine's on the 45

7-7,000 piece orchestra set
everybody needs a bosom for a pillow
mines on the RPM

Everybody needs a bosom for a pillow
Everbody needs a bosom
Mine's on the 45

one of the cheesiest songs & videos ever! i'm still obligated to love it because i spent 12 hours lip-syncing, running & climbing for a split second of footage in that video.

Personally, I cringe whenever I actually read Rush lyrics. Somewhere along the line, some bonehead actually said out loud that Neal Peart was some gifted lyricist...and a pack of lemmings echoed his statements...and before long the whole world is saying it.

But all one has to do to explode such a rediculous notion is to listen to either "The Trees" or "Virtuality" to realize that the guy is simply horrible...

Muskrat Love

by Captain & Tennille

Words and Music: Willis Alan Ramsay

Muskrat, Muskrat, candle light Doing the town
and doing it right in the evening
It's pretty pleasing Muskrat Suzie, Muskrat Sam do the jitterbug
out in Muskrat Land And they shimmy...
Sam is so skinny And they whirl and they twirl and they tango
Singing and jinging a jango
Floating like the heavens above
Looks like Muskrat Love.
Nibbling on bacon, chewing on cheese Sam says to Suzie,
Honey, would you please be my Mrs?
Suzie says yes with her kisses
Now he's tickling her fancy,
rubbing her toes muzzle to muzzle now,
anything goes as they wriggle,
Sue starts to giggle

BINGO!!!! We have a winner. This is a great thread. Very entertaining.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Yeah, sadly it was. It's one of those songs that you can't wait for the popularity to die down so they'll quit playing it every hour on the radio. It sucked then and still sucks now.
