The review seemed a bit generous, but I respect your opinion and explanations. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback.

I don't think I was being a bit generous though. I've loved the album from the very first time I heard it and I continue to play it regularly.

Until I bought the reissue (yes I actually bought it, instead of getting review copies), I still had the original cassette version I bought lo those many years ago.

By the way, I have a mini review of Evolution up as well. If you go to the Reviews In Brief page and scroll down you will see it. It's currently been mislabeled as a review of Escape, but I'm getting that fixed.

I don't feel it's too generous. I simply love the album. I can't go on in a long winded dissertation (sp?) on the most minute of technical details, so I write both as a "pro" and a "fan."

But I never lie. If I didn't like something on the albums I review, you'll know it.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for reading. We'll have to agree to disagree about "My My My" though.

Thanks for taking the time to read the review. I wish I had enjoyed all the bonus tracks like you do, but the first two just weren't all that great to me.

I didn't think it was too generous either, TageRyche. If anything, I thought you were a little hard on the bonus tracks. :)

"The first 10 songs on the album are pure pop perfection. It’s always hard to find an album that is fitting of the description perfect, but Street Talk earned that title easily."

Just to clarify, I thought the above was a BIT too generous. I LOVE the album, but I'd never consider it "pure pop perfection." It's just a great album. I do, however, respect everyone who thinks it is. Again, good review. :)

Running Alone is cheesy, but other than that, it's a solid album.

The bonus tracks were average, that's why they were not a part of the original album in the first place :)

But man, what a classic soul/pop/AOR album. Still love it to this day also.

Why is that?

To be honest, I haven't listened to the album in so long it's going to almost be like a new release for me.

For those who read this review, just a note, I'll have a review of Frontiers going up either this week or next. I just emailed it off earlier this afternoon.

Escape and Steve Perry's For The Love Of Strange Medicine still to come.
