Listen cakeboy, Journey's legacy was putting on some of the greatest live shows in music. Augeri merely had to do THAT. It really didn't extend beyond that as they were constantly dogged in most music circles. However, even critics acknowledged that their live shows were money, just that they disagreed with Journey's style when it came to the actual music. Cain and Schon didn't leave, Perry did. Taking the frontman's job meant that the baton was passed from Perry and accepted by Augeri. HE, and he alone, chose not to step down when the time came. I don't give a shit about legalities and contracts so don't bother using those excuses. The guy is a poser...always has been. You may now resume playing "Cheek Splitter" with your boyfriend. Sissy.
