Clue me in, JoePa...
Why do you think this article is not genuine?
In other words, what is said in it that gets you so riled up???
Just curious...

The truth! That's what's getting Red all riled up.

True. Everything is subject to change.
Ask Perry the same question twice, you probably won't get the same answer twice.
He's a good one for that.
For example - according to him, he started singing around the house when he was 7 years old.
When later asked the same question, the answer was 3. (I don't know why but for some reason this particular example sticks out....LOL!)
They answer the questions as to what's in their head at the time their asked, not based on keeping their story straight trying to remember how they answered that question 2 years earlier. See the Neal examples above.

Can you be more specific???
What the hell did Friga 'supposedly' say that
could've gotten old JoePa so riled up???

It's the bogus quote that has Cain supposedly in 1989 before there WAS another singer, bemoaning Journey's inabilty to gain acceptance with someone other than Perry.
Not exactly riled up, just aware that I'm right.
Red13JoePa wrote:Odd "interview" we have here full of pro-perry rhetoric from schon/cain that echoed absolutely NOTHING they've ever said before or since. When it hit the boards no one had ever heard of its existence but loons who ripped it out like some holy grail and it came from a little old place shockingly titled "perryville"
Matthew wrote:This interview is like a manifesto of Loondom! And the fact that these statements came from a senior figure in the band rather than some crazed fan on the internet must really get under the skin of the Go With The Flow Mob.
Carlitto H@kk wrote:Sure, but it does openly show Friga and Schonny's distaste
for Perry at that time (1989) and SHOULD piss you loons off a bit as well![]()
Neal - "I can't deny I'm not upset with Steve Perry, I don't know what's going on in his head,
and to be honest with you, I really don't care. He's in the past as far as I'm concerned,
and it's the future I'm looking at now."
Friga - "The sheriff decided he didn't need his deputies around anymore," said Cain wryly,
"and he thinks he can run the town by himself now. We'll see."

the thing is full of sentiments that a lot of people had never heard before, since, or from anywhere else about perry from schon/cain.
50,000 times after reading/hearing those 2 say they had no idea whay ROR was cancelled beyond the "toast" thing that stopped briefly then continued in '96, they say in this one piece in 1989 that no one has ever accepted them w/out perry and that they did understand why he pulled their plugs in '87?
Matthew wrote:Maybe because they were feeling good about their own career outside Journey in '89 they could afford to be honest?

No they haven't.
They fired him and moved on and on.

LOL, ok a little loon(acy) creeping out here, but I've always gotten a kick out of Jon calling Steve by his formal name Stephen. Hmmm, wonder if he calls Jeff, Jeffrey?![]()
.....sorry, carry on.

Fear no, Deb.
Friga didn't say that.

Yes - I wish some posters here would show Stephen the same respect.
