Mike called me about an hour ago to tell me that they were at the funeral home making arrangements this afternoon & Chelsea was still apparently on life support to maintain the organs for donation. He told me that they got a phone call, and that a neurosurgeon's second opinion is required to declare someone brain dead, and that the second opinion came back that there was still a small amount of blood flow going to the brain.
Apparently last night the decision was made that she was brain dead, and to preserve her organs on life support until the donors were found. This is apparently why we are just getting word of these changes this afternoon.
I know this brings more questions than answers, but the amazing thing is that she is still clining to a ray of hope whatever the consequences may be. Please redouble the prayer efforts, cause it looks like they may have worked. Mike wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, and I will post updates as things develop.
God bless you all.

I just hope it doesn't make the whole situation harder for the family if they have to lose their hope again.

It does open up a whole new aspect of emotions. I know from talking to Mike that they are realistic about the likelihood of some substantial brain damage, but overjoyed at the miracle that there is still some hope.
