Jeff's fans (myself included) are united. Journey is causing the chaos amongst their fans. They could settle it by doing things right by Jeff as well as the fans, but they choose not to. There you have it.

Please ban yourself you fucking **** or fag.

Jeff is the best. Total talent and too good for Journey. And a class act on top of it.

I liked Augeri too. The posts about having his voice back - great. I liked him, just not what went down.

Now go shove a spiked dildo up your smelly twat.

So you would have turned down tickets for the ROR tour back in the day?

No. Perry was still there then or did u forget? Did u take a stupid pill today or something?

Deep down I'll always believe that Journey are bogus without Perry. But any opportunity to see Cain and Schon live is irresistible to me. Ideally I'd want them to perform under a different name, though...

I never thought we were parted...
Why don't we just stand for what is right.
There has been an injustice done, over and over.
As JOURNEY FANS, we can take a stand.
We are being heard here, for what it's worth...THANK YOU, ANDREW!

Don't you remember? Somebody stated that neither any Journey fans NOR Soto fans liked Soul SirkUS yesterday.. ahh..

I loved SS! KICKED ASS!

Well, when Andrew rates it a 97% which is what I think the FIRST pressing got w/out the Neal and Virgil overdubs (I thinl the redo garnered a 99) and the bonus tracks I figure it might be time to take a listen....just got the repress with the overdubs and bonuses and now I don't know which World Play I dig better the new one or the Deen one....but what a band they were and are prolly gone now

I know many Augeri fans were hurt last yr. The Augeri family were hurt. For that, I publicly apologize to Steve himself & to his fans. Please accept it. Mr. Perry has been hurt w/things said about him. Let's not hurt the Soto family now please. We would only be stooping down to the level of the remaining members of Journey. We have not heard the story these men have to tell. But we can all assume a lot of bad things said were untrue anyway.

Whatever Mr. Augeri does in the future (& I know his voice is GREAT now), I will support him & buy. If he tours, I will go.
Whatever Mr. Soto does in the future, I will support him & buy. If he tours w/any band, I will go.
Should Mr. Perry decide to do anything, I will support him. I always have. I will also make his tour, if he ever has one.

These 3 men are the voices of Journey & they have all given us a LOT. They have all served us well w/evenings of pure live pleasure, albums we listen to all the time (in or out of Journey), they have done their time in this band for the good of the fans (us), & they have all been fucked over by other members of the band. Journey is now dead to me. But these men live on. (Personally, I'd love to see them all on one stage. That is my dream! Call me crazy if u want.)

By uniting the fanbase of these 3 men, we will do more than any fights or character assaults could ever do (of these fine men, or other fans). We have all been screwed by this band as have these 3 GREAT men.

I salute these men for all they did & I wish them all the very best life can give them. Please let us unite behind them. Fuck Journey.

Who is with me?

I said I loved Schon and Cain's musicianship and have done for decades. I don't love what I hear about how they behave - but this has been the case for a long, long time. I've been angry with them for years about Perry and about how they've run the band ever since. I just can't get all shocked and indignant all over again - much as I am genuinely sad that it hasn't worked out for JSS and that he's been treated so badly.

No. Perry was still there then or did u forget? Did u take a stupid pill today or something?

Well, Perry, Schon and Cain ruthlessly fired Smith and Valory - who had put in longer service than JSS has. If your fandom of Journey is dependent on the band members' loyalty and kindness to each other then surely you should have renounced the band back in the 1980s? Maybe even in the 1970s....

U can have them. Turn in ur loon card please. U are now out of loon heaven for good.

All I said was that I'd go and see them play...whatever they are called...and whoever is singing for them. I went to see them even during the Augeri era. It's like being a fan of a football team...not matter how crap they are...no matter how lousy their individual personalities are...you just can't stop going to see the games....even if you slightly hate yourself for doing so. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how many people here will attend the shows next year, if there are any.

Yeah, at one point I'd have preferred SS continue and Journey retire as the later seemed to lack the motivation to create anything new and I liked WP nearly as much as anything Journey had done. I wish SS had continued and we'd have that instead of the train wreck that Journey has become. They didn't continue because Neal/Neal and Jon in the case of Journey are more concerned with how to market themselves than in being writers and musicians and creating at this point.

I always wanted a Journey show with kick ass new songs, and no dirty dozen. With SS live I got my
wish...and alot more. Just a blistering set, and it's probably one of the best shows I've ever seen.

I was already a fan of the 3 players, and walked away a JSS fan as well. It may have cost Neal some
money, but hey you sweat for what you believe in. Too bad he had to give it all up because there
weren't big profits in it.

There's more to life than staying at the Four Seasons Mr Schon.

I can.

Well, Perry, Schon and Cain ruthlessly fired Smith and Valory - who had put in longer service than JSS has.

Did they? Smith always maintained he quit. I've read fairly recent articles where Valory said he quit back then too. On BTM he said he was fired & lost his ancestral home or whatever. Who knows the real story. Do u?

If your fandom of Journey is dependent on the band members' loyalty and kindness to each other then surely you should have renounced the band back in the 1980s? Maybe even in the 1970s....

Never even heard of Journey till 79-80 so I guess I couldnt have dumped them in the 70s. I'm just not old enough. As for dumping them in the 80s, I kinda did. I wasnt a huge fan of ROR. I liked some of the songs, not all. I didnt go see them that tour (which I now regret b/c it was Perry's last w/the band). I next picked up w/Journey for TBF in the 90s. By that time, the lineup I knew was restored. Oh wait, I did know one other member of Journey who was gone by then: Rolie. He quit, wasnt fired.

It's like being a fan of a football team...not matter how crap they are...no matter how lousy their individual personalities are...you just can't stop going to see the games....even if you slightly hate yourself for doing so.

FWIW I've been to exactly 1 football game in my life. Id much rather watch games on TV than freeze my butt off in Soldier Field in subzero weather.

Ur analogy sucks. People form an allegiance w/a sports team usually b/c of where u live. I lived in Chicago for yrs so I'm a Bears fan. I live in FL right now. Doesn't matter. I'll always be a Bears "fan" win or lose. I loved the heck out of the "lineup" that won the Superbowl & Jim McMahon was my favorite QB. In the yrs after, when he went to the SD Chargers, PA Eagles, MN Vikings, AZ Cardinals, GB Packers, I didnt go w/him. It just doesnt work like that. In football, trading players is the name of the game. I dont know how this works in the UK. I seem to know many Brits who follow one team regardless of their lineup so it must be similar.

When a singer leaves a band, I generally follow them to the next band. That's b/c I like the voice & become loyal to it. Some people follow other members of bands they love. Depends what grabs them about the band. For me, it's always the voice.

B/c of the internet, we often get to know a lot more about band members than we did in the 80s. It's even more personal if one member is not only a killer performer, but also joins in the "fandom" on a message board & talks like he's one of us. Personally, I can't follow a band that kicks that member in the nuts & lies about it.

Go back & read my 1st post in this thread. It was addressed to "FORMER" Journey fans. From what u said here, u dont fit in that category. So why did u answer anyway? Felt like ruining my sentiments? Congrats. U did great job. Happy?

No I don't. And nor do I know the real story behind the departure of JSS either.

Ur analogy sucks. People form an allegiance w/a sports team usually b/c of where u live.

My point was that it's absurd to say that you're no longer a fan of Neal Schon because he isn't loyal or respectful to other band members. God... if you narrowed down the acts you like on the criteria that they have to be nice people you'd have a very small record collection.

B/c of the internet, we often get to know a lot more about band members than we did in the 80s. Yes I know that's why it feels more personal to us - but this is like saying it was okay to follow Journey after they sacked Perry because Perry wasn't posting on Meledicrock.com. The fact is...if you believed your own argument you wouldn't even be following JSS's career in Journey because that came after Perry was kicked in the nuts.

Actually no. I liked Jeff before Journey. Saw him in a little band called SoulSirkUS & thought he was awesome. I started following Journey again b/c of him. Does that fit ur criteria for me believing my own argument?

I have read them. They confirm what we knew already that Schon and Cain are shady and ruthless. But they don't explain the sudden turnaround in the band's strategy.

No, not everyone. Come on Susie - you know what I'm saying. An artist doesn't have to have a great personality to produce great work.

I agree that all the fans who have been hurt by the way these guys have behaved since 1996 should unite in what we all have in common. Lashing out at each other over the frontmen who have been "Fucked and Fired"* is illogical.

I don't think I can ever support Augeri's solo efforts because he just don't impress me much, but neither he nor his fans had anything to do with the way Perry or JSS were treated by Friga and Fro.
