Rich Meyers is accusing me of doctoring tapes up last year. THAT is slander. Laura did the tapes for me as did someone else who i won't mention.
I didn't say anything about this, I'm speaking of your above posts to CJ only. Laura doctored tapes for you?
NO! Laura did the separation of the tracks. You are a fuckhead. NO one did any doctoring of any tapes except Journey. Keep bringing it up, I am sure the band loves you for it. You bring up the topic, I will respond. Very simple.
I'm a casual poster here and I have no inside scoop nor am I accusing you of anything Deano. you stated something above about Rich Myers accusing you of doctoring tapes and then said Laura did them for you, I was just trying to understand what you were saying. Doesn't matter anyway, Journey is dead and I no longer care really. Just wanted to defend CJ even though I don't know her, its kind of unfair to accuse people of stuff. Simple thing to do is to not let people post at your blog if you don't like what they say.
Just to clear things up a bit...At the beginning of TG,Dean sent me the mp3 files of a few songs from boots as well as the audio files from the Vegas DVD and what I did was to mix the tracks,as in having them both playing along (one in the left channel, the other in the right channel) for comparison puposes.
Because of my line of work (radio, studio) I had the technical means and the softwares to put things together and help people understand that the Vegas vocals were used in Journey's live concerts.
I was aware that some people said that Dean has been "doctoring" the mp3s,so before anything,I have checked that myself together with a sound engineer and the result was that nothing was doctored. For that to happen you have to own the studio recordings which wasn't the case.
But Journey had them,of course,so that's how they could separate(extract) the vocal tracks and use them as playback in concerts.
Basically, the band was live and the vocals were taped.
What I did,technically,was a simple demostration of a lip-synching case,nothing more,nothing less.
