First time I've head you say that.

I thought you have Red13 posters all over your room?

Each one he got better. Maybe it was the way they recorded and/or mixed him. Arrival he has absolute standout vocals on only Nothing Comes Close as well as We Will Meet Again. KMS is an interesting lower register vocal as well and Neal singing with him the entire song extremely cool, there's no other song like that in the cannon.
But everything else on Arrival, he's just part of the songs, not bad not great. Red13 was a noticeable step up vocally and Generations was a quantam leap forward in his singing. Sounded more powerful and more assertive.
He's really agressive on the Generaitons rockers, too.
To answer Jrox, first favorite band was Genesis, then it was VH, THEN it became Journey. I always LIKED Journey though, once I heard AWYWI in 1980 over the Elkins Park Middle School PA... now I pretty much have a 1 and 1a of Journey and The Stones, then everybody else I like.
To address DaveCT's bashing (

) of the title track to Frontiers: I LOVE that song, to me that and Rubicon are sort of like 1 nearly seamless piece of music closing out the album. damn I love those songs....I will be playing my 1 Frontiers era boot this weekend now.
