I thought it might be HOTS' tits hitting the floor when she took her bra off. But that wouldn't make sense. I'm sure the rolls from her stomach and the stink trap between her legs hit the floor first.

That's John Steinbeck quality right there. The Tits of Wrath. That was a true laugh out loud. God, I love HOTS, she provides comedy fodder.

But Laura...no-one cares...so they barely qualify as scandals. Take a look at this month's Classic Rock magazine and see how scandalous they find the latest developments.....if you can even find the single paragraph article tucked away on p.9.....

Matthew...Just because Journey is not a mainstream band anymore, doesn't make the scandal less important.Sure,Tapegate and Dumpgate will not make it in the media like a Paris Hilton scandal would, but the rock music community and the fanbase are aware of the details and that's enough trouble for Journey. They have lost credibility.Unfortunately, they have also lost the opportunity to be credible again.

I am saying this by clearly separating the 2 Journey eras that were decisive in their history: the Perry and the Post-Perry ears.
The former is untouchable and it's over. The latter is what they had to build and ultimately failed. Why? Because they haven't been making the right choices.
Resorting to tapes, disrespecting the fans, lying and treating singers like pampers are not the ways to (re)build a career.

You say that the magazines don't write too much about all this?Of course they don't,and it's exactly because the band is not credible anymore.

Laura - this wasn't any old magazine. This is the highest-circulation specialist magazine devoted to hard rock and AOR. Believe me there is nothing contemporary or fashionable about this magazine - Phil Lynott was a recent cover star and the guy has been dead for twenty years.

I saw that CR magazine and the interview w/ Dunbar: "I just didn't like steve perry coming in and telling everybody how to play."

I doubt he told Neal how to play.

Maybe Dunbar was talking about Steve telling him not to play with underage girls. Evidently he dabbled in that.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I think I remember someone in the band saying that Dunbar was like an octopus on the drums and was just playing too much and that's one of the reasons they wanted to bring in a different drummer.

Neal made the Octopus remark: "He was playing way too much for the simplicity of the songs. He used to warm up for his drum solos during our sets."

I love Dunbar's blasting, pounding style on Infinity though.

Dunbar was a perfect choice for Whitesnake's self-titled abum in '87, especially for songs like "Crying in the Rain" and "Still of the Night".

Update, finshed the back 9 of the GH DVD this AM and damn if Zuniga didn't show up again in the Feeling That Way video.

Creepy.

Cozy Powell would have sounded better on "Still In The Night" though....

Is that one of those unreleased demos from the 1987 sessions?
