first of all i wasn't talking to you. second of all AR is always attacking people about there post with his ghetto lingo and his high morals when i'm assuming he's a ravens fan. correct me if i'm wrong football fans but the owner of the ravens did the same god damn thing to the city of cleveland as journey did to a few of there lead singers. differen't sport but the same ball game. just making a point. it's easy to just sit back and drill people on what they post. walk out on your own limb if your so fucking insightful and intelligent. this post isn't directed towards you. so stick your "plethora" up your ass. thanks for your advice though.

If you only want AR to respond to the JSS question so you can jump in with some sport team comparison, you could start a thread addressed specifically to him instead of jumping all over somebody else who thought you might actually want an answer to the one question you asked.

1) My comment WAS directed to you, because you are new, and we do not need yet another thread hijacked about 'what do we think about what happened'..blah blah blah. I was being courteous. Perhaps you hadn't seen the search button.
2) I'm not AR, and who the fuck gives a damn about a sports team and what they allegedly did or didn't do.
Now you just pissed me off, and on the wrong fuckin day to piss me off. NOTED LOGGED Asshole!

The band had put up one (I believe Jeff had a hand in the idea and getting them started)
Then Sony/BMG came along and filed a complaint with myspace saying that as the
label they had the rights and already had a page up, and they won.
Actually there was a merging of the site that the band had done (I believe Sarah had worked on it)
and the Sony/BMG page so that the only page on myspace was the "official"
This all went on prior to the release of the reissues.

Who are all these people who come in here to stir up shit? Enough already.

Quoted for truth.
I had mentioned that they should have one and Jeff probably also said something, so management asked me to make one... I did, and long story short, MySpace said the band can only have one profile and since Sony had already made a Perry-era page, theirs was favored.
It's pretty much MySpace's fault that it's so focused on Steve P.

If that happens, it will once again prove Journey doesn't give a shit about their core fans. Think back on all the shit they already put us through!
Fuckers would do it this way, though, as a means of marketing. As chicken shit as it would be, I could see it from that organization.
Damn, I wish I wouldn't have found this thread!

If, and I mean IF Perry were to ever return, it would be in the studio only. He could go into the studio and do a record, then they would let Jeremey tour it. Perry couldn't handle touring at the schedule Journey tours. If they would do maybe 6 or 8 big shows across the country, then maybe, but he couldn't do more than that. I don't think so anyway.

That's weak...who owns the "Journey" trademark/service mark?
You'd think NoMoTa/Front Line would have the savvy or the balls to wrest the profile back from Sony/BMG. The label doesn't own the mark and Myspace just doesn't want to get in the middle of a pissing match. Even so, the band and management should have the cajones to stand up for their own mark or risk having it wrested from them (which could happen if they don't assert themselves on this Myspace issue).

It has never been and is not now a protected service or trade mark. There is no (sm) or (tm) behind the name, hence, not protected.
Names cannot be copyrighted, either.

Rick, that's what I've thought they'd do all along. Still do... I love the hell outta the wombat, but I think he's gonna turn out to be wrong about this in the end. It only makes sense...
...but for now? If I WAS Steve, I'd stay the hell away from these guys. I actually wish he'd go on the road with Rollie, Smitty, Randy J and Nuno B and call it "An evening of Journey" or some such shit.
I'd be there...
