That sure was good. Brad Delp was such an incredible singer. Sweet did the song a lot of justice. Nobody will ever make it sound as good as BD did. BD and SP, two world class voices that can never be matched.

I doubt you will find a bigger Michael Sweet fan on this website. A lot of people love his voice and music until they find out he is the singer for Stryper and sings about God.
He did the tribute show as his wife was recovering from serious cancer.
Stryper is going to cover Peace Of Mind on their new cd and Tom is going to play on it.
Tom is pretty picky and was thrilled when Michael sang this stuff the first times.
At the official Boston site there are some links for rehearsal stuff for the tribute.
Anyway..

Michael wrote this one for the gulf war. No images of the band, but great vocals. A great song about the war that never got a chance to be as great as it is..

They were really popular round about 87. My favorite song of theirs back then was "Honestly" I was fourteen at the time. I'm 34 now.

I'm really old. LOL! I watched Madonna sing "Like A Virgin" at the first MTV Music Awards.

Even if you don't give a crap, watch a couple of these just to hear some good 80's hair band cheese rock with great vocals and music.

There is a Journey-Stryper connection. Brent Jeffers the keyboard tech for Journey was the keyboard player for Stryper.

Please don't wish for this. Fran sounded decent on the "Walk On" CD, but live he is mediocre at best. The only thing worse would be Tom using more of Fran's son's songs on a future Boston album. That crap that was on "Corporate America" made me ashamed to tell people Boston had a new CD out.

Well, we agree on something. "Corporate America" was crap. I disagree on Cosmo, though. I think he is more valuable as a live singer than studio. Not on lead vocals however, just for backing vocals and hitting those high notes. If they continue, which I'm not sure they should, they need to get a brand new lead singer.

I completely agree. I should have stated that my problem is with Fran on LEAD vocals. He's fine as a backup singer, but no more.
