Well, good for both of ya, and if I had the same chance,
I'd jump on it in a heartbeat... if I was single, didn't have a mortgage, and didn't have a great career that I'd already worked very hard to maintain. Sure, half a million sounds like quite a bit, but first of all, that's before taxes.... after that, it's nothing but a few years of my regular income. Not worth tossing a career away that you couldn't easily come back to and pick up where you left off. And all the time away from the family would be extremely hard.
If you can do it, heck, go for it! I'm just saying that Jeremey had a very hard choice to make. If you think long and hard about it, it's not near as simple as it sounds when you've grown very dependable roots. Especially without any guarantees of longevity...
