Big fuckin surprise there. `
Diffworlds wrote:There is a CD called "Music from the Xbox Video game NHL Rivals 2004". It has Survivor (with JJ on lead vocals) singing Eye of the Tiger. I am not sure it is the same version that you are looking for. It also has an updated Sammy Hagar singing "I can't Drive 65 " as well as some classic tunes from Boston, Styx, Joe Walsh & Journey.

After the new Jimi interview I've been meaning to ask you guys, what movies has EOTT with Jimi singing been in?

I remember listening to a new version of EOTT with JJ on vocals (no not the one on i-tunes and the movies) back in 2005. It was a new updated sounding version. I actually didn't like it that well. Does anyone know if you can hear that on the web somewhere?

I think it is. Check it out here: http://www.amazon.com/Rivals-2004-Video ... B0000UHFIK
I played both (amazon one) and the studio version, concurrently and they match.

Hmmh. The NHL Rivals 2004 was released in 2003. The iTunes Version is called 2006 remix and they said the want to re-record EOTT for "Reach". That means they have done two identicall recordings? Now I'm confused.

Guys this was a version I believe was recorded for the new album. This isn't the Jamo version that appears in the movies or video games. There were snippets online. The version was even different musically. Am I losing my mind here? I think samples appeared online about 2004 or 2005.
Eyeof wrote:Slander, I have a version that I got that was labled the 2001 EOTT and it sound identical to the 2006 I-Tunes Version...
I do have another version though...it's labeled Survivor and it's JJ...it's a lot more rough...I get the feeling from its sound that it was the song that was cut with JJ and sent to Starbucks for approval...I'll try and post it on megaupload for you and send it over....

I have the Fire Makes Steel demos. I like the songs a lot, but IMO it didn't Rock nearly enough either.
I thought the only true Rockers were "Strip For Me" "Better Give It Up" "Jessica" and the remake of "Rebel Girl."
Return to Survivor / Jim Peterik / Toby Hitchcock / Pride Of Lions / Marc Scherer / Sir Jimi (RIP)
