do you what kind of pedals (chorus, distorsion, reverb..) Frankie use to create the "survivor" sound.
Thanks

From 1977 to 1983: He used mostly Gibson Les Paul Standard, Classic and Custom (his Black Beauty) and Strat occasionnaly.
From 1983 to 1987: He used mostly Stratocaster (his old 1958 Sunburst Strat, his white one with the tremolo for High On You live performance and Burning Heart video) and Gibson Les Paul (the Iced Tea finish one from the 1985 tour... he lost it afterward), A blonde Telecaster (from the 1985 tour)
From 1987 to 1989: He used mostly Stratocaster (his old 1958 Sunburst Strat), anotther Iced Tea Gibson (after the one he lost), The Blonde Telecaster
From 1993: He uses mostly Stratocasters (a black one, a 1958 Sunburst Strat), a few times his blonde Telecaster, gibson les pauls (a lot of models), a EDS 1275 doubleneck, and some Andersons guitars.
So He's really a Fender Strat, Tele, Gibson Les Paul and Doubleneck guy
I'm not sure about the acoutic guitars he used...
I VERY curiious about the pedals he used to create the survivor sound... Pro Co Rat?, Boss DS-1?,....

In the Vital Signs days he said he was only using a ProCo Rat distortion pedal, and no other effects.
I think in the early days of Survivor he might have been using Washburn acoustics, but don't quote me on that.
Return to Survivor / Jim Peterik / Toby Hitchcock / Pride Of Lions / Marc Scherer / Sir Jimi (RIP)
