Don't know if that was directed at ME....
But anyway....back to the subject at hand:
An example of my own 3-part harmony, 2 voxlines each can be found at the MySpace page listed below:
"11th House" is the song.....3/4 of the way thru....it's done a-cappella....

my point exactly. See, they could still tour with Perry. Just put a computerized Perry on the stage.stevew2 wrote:Thats cool have Friga sing, and put Perrys vocals in on top
BobbyinTN wrote:I LOVE the idea of the harmonies, but in a studio setting, I'd still rather take my time and layer those vocals, because perfection isn't always the object, it's emotion.
If you get the chance listen to my song "Always, My Love" and at the very end, I'm doing a lot of different vocals, I think there's like 9 tracks of vocals going on and while they are not perfect, they set a mood.
Oh, it's a home recording, so don't expect professional perfection. LOL

Tape (or digital sampled background tracks) will still be used when needed because they free the performer from having to actually sing, the unit shown in this demo still requires an actual vocal to be singing in order to work. I believe Journey uses (or used) one of these in songs like "Separate Ways" and John was triggering it with the chords played on the synth. Now days anyone can afford these, years ago they were only used by the elite.
