Conan O'Brien did that to him last year... and used that ^ exact pic.
Then made him hum the bass line to Lights while Conan sang it. Poorly.

That pic should be in color because the blue boots are AS funny as the goofy flattop.

I think he might be referring to the recent rumour of Randy and Neal and some others being spotted at dinner in Vegas recently.

I've never seen one person get more mileage out of being in Journey for such a short period of time as I have with Randy. I never was crazy about Randy being in Journey and I'd like to forget about that incarnation. It was a Steve Perry Solo band doing Journey tunes.

No, it was three members of the classic line-up, plus two other members.

Same as it's been since 1998 (3+2).

Exactly. As long as there's at least three of the "key" members (Schon, Perry, Cain, Rolie, Smith, Valory) it's Journey.

Besides, while dumping Smitty was idiotic, Randy's bass playing is superior to Valory's and was a great move.

That's true. Let me rephrase.... the style of music on ROR would have been better suited for a Steve Perry solo album than a Journey album.

I disagree. His wardrobe choices alone caused him to stand out like a sore thumb. I didnt think he was that much of an upgrade at bass.

And look where he is now.

Randy doesn't bring up the Journey stuff - Letterman did. Randy was a very successful studio musician before Journey and a rather successful music executive after that. Journey was his biggest "spotlight" gig until American Idol.

And no wonder he had fun in Journey. It's like being the "temp" in an office - you come in, you do your job and you don't have to deal with the office politics! :D

Dave sometimes seems half baked. Good clip of Randy.

He's very proud of his time in the band.
