a little trivia about that moment in time: i believe that's ross in the orange shirt/white pants walking up in the background. i met jonathan for the first time, shortly before that pic was taken. i was walking around outside, looking for some shade, when a van pulled up in front of me. pat morrow, journey's road manager, rolls his window down & says, "hey, i've got someone i want you to meet!" jonathan walks around from the passenger side & pat introduces us. being painfully shy, i probably didn't say much more than, "hi, i like your music." pat then escorted us into the hospitality area called the frogeteria. i was thrilled that i was in the shade AND in the presence of band members!

Cyn, I don't think that would be Ross. I thought that also when I saw him, but he wasn't there that day. Randy was on bass.

Very nice pic, Cyndy...yes, you haven't aged at all...what's in that water up North? :) I love hearing your trivia & stories...were you working for Journey at this time or was it just a random thing that the road manager introduced you to the band?

Happy Birthday, Neal!

I get a kick out of Neal rocking the Commando/Overalls look.

I almost made the same mistake - this pic is from 1981 and not 1997, so it would have been Ross.

Cyndy, in the F&B dvd, are you the gal sitting cross legged on the floor, reading all the fan letters to Journey? Lora told us one time that you started working for them before she did, as a photographer, in photography? What year was this?

Then the 2 of you got into the fan club part. Lucky gals, indeed. I was right there in those days in San Francisco, too. Never got caught up in the Journey or music scene. Too busy trying to get ahead in the business world, I guess.

So how did you go from teen-age fan to working for the band - that has to be a great story! :)

You and Lora ARE famous. Had speaking parts on the VH1-BTM feature, too. Cyndy, getting back to that 3 seconds scene, as the camera scans to you sitting on the floor eyeing a letter, the voiceover is of a gal "reading" a fan letter. Is that your voice, too? Sorry, I am gushing for details.
